Once I pass the 50,000 word total, how do I upload it to the NaNoWriMo website for verification? Will a tool magically appear on the website on 11/25?

Actually the tool magically appeared a week or two ago.
Log into the site with your username and password, click on "Edit Profile" at the top.
Click on "Author Info" next to the Account Settings mini-tab, and then go to the bottom of the page that comes up.
Look for "Novel Info" and there will be a "Word Count Validator" box there.
Copy your novel from whatever document program you use, paste it in there, and click "submit" at the bottom.
You can do it today to test your word count, but until the 25th, it will not be official, nor will it confer winner status, purple bars, winner icons and certificates, hearty handshakes, pats on the back, or the warm glow of victory. So come back after 12:00:01AM on November 25 to get some or all of those.
