Last write-in!

Knowing how little work gets done at a write-in, I don't think having a last day write-in is such a good idea. I am pretty sure I am going to be tapping away furiously at the keyboard trying to squeeze in those last few words. How about a day after last day? Have a get together at AFK and congratulate and commiserate. We could all bring an except from our books and have a reading or something.

I can make all three! I do agree that a celebration is likely to be more productive than a countdaown though.

I'm keen for both a write-in and a countdown.

I promise to shut up this time, 'speshially about Gandhi... and only have bottles of water. ;)

I hope my selfishness didn't effect people's opinions of write-ins and make them less wanting to participate.
For the record, I only came to one. :P

Eh, well, I'll be home until Friday or Saturday at this rate so I won't be able to make the write-in. I'd be up for a clock-over party though. Ideally we could all meet up some place at midnight on the finish line. I do somehow question the logistics of that however as most of us rely on public transport.
Uhm, yeah I think I'll be in a similar boat as Amanda if not already given up. I think I have to hit something like 9k words a day now. I'm going to have to be pretty full on. I dare say that average might get bumped up a bit more as I've got a fair bit to do this week too. I'll be happy with 25,000 at this rate. Still, I'll see what I can do.

Short answer, no I can't come to the write-in so I have no opinion, but I'm all for a countdown party seeing as how I'm hopelessy behind.

Hey every one who is currently at the write in.
As you can see, I can't make it. I managed to do a good 3000 words today so far, but currently am out of steam.
Not far to go, though.

Although not an official write in, I was going to head to AFK tomorrow (Thursday) from about midday. Any one who wants to join me is welcome, although I am going to be seriously writing, not chatting and goofing around. I am going cause I can't access internet from there. (Curse you StumbleUpon!)
