I signed up for United States: Massachusetts: Elsewhere as my home region because being outside 128, I didn't quite think of myself as part of United States: Massachusetts: Boston, but I did sign up on that as one of my regions.
Turns out the silly buggers are in a word war with LA, and getting their butts kicked. (word counts by region available here: http://www.nanowrimo.org/wordcount_stats )
LA is at 8,415,789 words.
Boston is at 6,538,083 words.
However.... "Elsewhere" in Massachusetts is at 2,331,607 words.
If, and it's a big "if", enough "Elsewhere" people are like me, just outside Boston, and decided to switch over, then it might be possible for Boston to win.
I'm still trying to decide, myself. But I thought I'd put it out there. :-)
