I need to write 3.6K a day, but I want to write 4K-5K ideally. Sundays aren't good writing days for me. All family junk.

So what pace do you guys need to go at to make it to 50K at the end? How many words a day? We need to stick together and support each other.

Those who have finished can push the rest of along.

If anyone needs word wars, my AIM is anicenotevilgal

Half an hour in the morning, write at least two pages. Leave at least an hour earlier than normal, if possible, find a coffee shop and blast off. I hope you have a laptop!

If you work, write at least three paragraphs on each break. Write a page on lunch.

Sacrifice at least one of your favourite TV shows. A half hour show is the same as at least 2.5 pages - or about a thousand words, if you hurry.

Surrender the remote control to someone else and let them watch all the TV shows you despise. The news does not exist. Write at least four pages per TV show.

For me, I can write at least three to five pages over my morning coffee (about 45 minutes). That makes all the difference.

And as for Sundays, those are my busy days too (especially now that I've been drafted by my church for choir, collections, ushering and the women's group. Add to that laundry, grocery shopping, virtual lunch with my mother and Grampa), and I can still make at least an hour of writing. Again, it's all about killing the TV and writing at every opportunity.

That's pretty intense, though, and I'm two hours away from my closest kin. I think for people with families, you've really got to set your priorities right, or risk alienating the people who have to live with you the other eleven months of the year.

Then again, there's always the bathroom.

Go go go!

I never thought I would reach this pivotal moment. Six days and 9000 words to hit the mark = 1500 per day. This is doable. I have a list of details to research more extensively after the fact as I found this was slowing me down too much. Momentum is what it is all about. I'm preparing for the last sprint.
See you at the finishing line.

On my way to 45K... I'm on track for hitting 50K by the 30th. Running out of story, though. Getting to the story's climax with a few thousand left to go...

I should be good...if only I could scrape up the time for a blitzkrieg write-fest to get finished. Curse my financial state and not allowing me to get a laptop....
