One of my main characters is in a wheelchair and I wasn't sure exactly how he would go about getting out of his vehicle. Can anyone help me out with this? Would he keep the wheelchair in the seat next to him, take it out, then get in it? Where are they usually kept? How does that work?

Thanks in advance!

Depends on the disability really. I had a friend who used a sort of hoist to get the chair out the car. She was the driver and could do the whole lot herself. We use to go racing late at night after we finished classes lol

that site gives some ideas but gov sites do tend to make everything sound lovely and easy - its not
