It would be ideal to have the party on Saturday December 1st - sooner is better than later, before you all scatter and disappear back to your normal lives for another year - so leave a reply below if you're good to go for that day. I'd hesitate to move it back to the 29th meeting for those who can't do weekends because, hey, NaNo won't be over yet, and leaving it until much later into December is not a realistic goal. So, fingers are crossed that next Saturday can be the day.

Also - the TGIO may involve a lot of noise, food/drinks (non-alcoholic), games, activities, etc, so the public library is not the best location (especially since we've been shushed by librarians a couple of times at the Thursday meetings already). Last year we were hosted by one of the NaNo participants but also up as suggestions were things like cafes, if I remember rightly - something like Williams with a lot of seating, for example.

Anyway, if you've got a suggestion for a location (or if you're Lora and have had a chance to brainstorm on this - I'm just getting it out there for consideration since we're into the last week) please let us know below. That's all from me for now and we'll see how this turns out.

I won't be able to make it on Saturday. I'll be in Niagara Falls. :-(

What time are you thinking about? I have an evening commitment, but I could probably do a morning/early afternoon thing.

Can't come. Basic Training that weekend (and on my bday too, boo).
But of course, as I haven't had a free weekend/Thursday all month, this should probably come as no surprise to anyone.
Hope you have a good party while I'm running laps and working on first aide drills, lol.

Saturday sounds great for me!

And my dad says we can have the party at my place. Seriously. Just out of the blue, I hear 'hey, wanna have that ending party here?' And then 'that way we don't have to drive you anywhere.'

Unfortunately, my not losing my voice permitting, I will be singing Handel's Messiah at Dundas Center United Church (oh what's this? A shameless plug?) so unless something is planned for after that or sometime in the afternoon, I won't be able to make it at this present time. D:

But as for locations, Williams sounds like a great idea. :) If I can't make it and it's held there, someone have a Chai Latte for me? ^^;;

Disregard my previous reply. Plans changed, so I can go this Saturday! And I can bring some extra goodies if you all like. ;)

Re: locations - we've got one vote for Williams and one vote for a participant's house. Anyone else care to weigh in?

Personally, it doesn't really matter for me so long as it's easy to reach by bus.

I'm with Jen -- bus routes are nice. Threchie, where's your house? (Or, well, you don't have to say THAT, but do you know if it's accessible by bus?) Williams might be the best bet just because it's in the middle of pretty much every bus route.

Now the fun part is that I work from 11am until 7:30pm, but I'm totally on board to come if we have it in the evening. Since we've been doing evening meetings all month, hopefully that wouldn't be a problem for people?

I'd actually prefer it to NOT be at my house, so whatever Williams is [I'd need a location] it sounds good.

Whoops, sorry hon, should've asked you that first, eh? ;)

Looks like Williams it is!

Next question, people: weigh in on a time!

Late afternoon/evening is best for me, since on Saturday morning, I plan on catching up on the sleep I'll have missed while desperately trying to catch up on Thursday and Friday. ^^

Williams is the coffee pub across from Victoria Park at 578 Richmond Street, which is between Central and Albert. Here's a map: http://maps.google.com/?q=578%20Richmond%20St.,+London,+ON,+Canada&ie=UT...

There are bus stops right by it that are serviced by the 13, 21, 4, and 6, I believe. As for parking...well, I'm guessing they have a parking lot? Any drivers can let us know.

And yeah, votes on times would be good if anyone has a preference. Morning is probably out because - who parties in the morning? That leaves us with afternoon and evening/night. I throw in my vote for somewhere around 6pm to start.

Earliest I can make it is 8 o'clock, and I'd love to be able to see people. If people still think they'll be there 2 hours later, then 6 works for me. :)

6 works for me! And I'm certain I'll still be there at 8. ;)

Well, like I said, evening is best for me anyway. I plan on sleeping Saturday morning, then I have family coming in the day. But I can do 6pm and onward, definitely. :)

See you all tonight! (Unless it gets super windy and the weather gets incredibly bad, in which case I won't be allowed to take the car out.)

Unfortunately I will be at a Parade that evening, so I can't make it. Hoist a latte for me...

So do we have a set time for this yet? I've heard 6pm on here, but 7pm at Thursday's meeting.

Looking forward to seeing everyone who can make it!

7PM it is, then - I'll put up an event notice. Mind the forecasted inclement weather when you head downtown tonight, though.
