I've been watching James Bond movies and going for long walks outside! I've just been so sick of my characters and not being able to figure out what they want. Doesn't help that I feel like a pretty crummy writer. x_x

What have you been doing instead of kicking your word count up to the final 50k? (Unless you have been kicking up your word count in which case, I salute your strength of will!)

I went out today and played Scrabble. I couldn't resist since we had the top player in the U.S. on site. (along with #3 in NC). And no - I didn't play either of them...but I did ask if I could bask in their auras!

I'm planning to hit 20k tonight and realize that I am so far behind that I may not get done. Not without doing something stupid for filler. Because, really, that wouldn't count.

Tonight I started to recite my work using Dragon Naturally Speaking. It's going pretty fast now. I'm not worrying about edits or anything else at this point.

My story has taken on a life of its own and at this point the whole thing is totally off the cuff. We'll see what happens...

Oooo Scrabble! I love it! Did you manage any especially high scoring words today?

And to me, it would depend on the filler! As long as it's related to the story, I say it counts ;-) I liked hearing that your story has taken on a life of its own. That's always such a great thing to feel! At least for me.

I'll admit, I haven't been able to write much in the last couple of weeks (Not to mention I was behind already) due to many, many things, from lazyness to family stuff to the sheer insanity of everything that is going on. I'll be lucky to hit 15K, the slacker that I am.

BUT! I do plan on coming to the meetup this week at Atlanta Bread, if it's still on. I'm going to make one final burst of effort at least. Who knows, maybe I will achieve a level of conscious that allows me to write at the speed of light and beyond. :D

I have also been wondering if it's still on. It's that end-of-the-month crunch for us, but if I have the gas money, I shall be there - with a vengeance! (also behind lol)

Well it's on the calendar at the bottom of the Region page so it better be on! I'll be there for sure getting over-caffeinated and lamenting the nowhere my story is going but having fun all the same!

Yep, we're on! See you there!

My word count is abysmal. First year I'm not going to make it. But I shall persevere.

I've had a series of migraines as well as a bad case of apathy. I'm pulling out of that but too late to do much on this NaNo of mine.

Bleh, turns out I'm not going to be able to make it tonight. Got way too much on my plate as it is and most of it is in the "Get done or die" category of deadline. Sighhhh...

Still, good luck to everyone who'll be there, though!

That's sad you can't come! It was great meeting you at the earlier meet ups. Until next year!

Sorry I missed it! Not only did I not have gas money, I also caught a horrid plague. I missed everything! I'm still interested in having writing buddies and meeting up periodically to get some writing accomplished, if anyone else would like to. :D
