Okay Kansai guys, weigh in here for what you want out of a TGIO. We can do it on December 1st, though I have a big event that night and might have to duck out early, or we can drink and dinner sometime next week. :D Thoughts, opinions, thrown tomatos?

Yeah I'm also tied up on December 1st, so maybe not. Next week would be better. On a Tuesday :)

Woo! Party! Things are finally wrapping up for the semester, too, so that means less homework and suchforth, though I still have about 11 pages worth of papers to write... At least as far as I know. Also, tomorrow is my last calligraphy lesson, so I will definitely be done by 4 on any given weekday, unless something really big comes up.

Also, if worse comes to worst on the party night, does anyone know if Taxis still run after the trains stop? I know it would be expensive, but it has to beat spending the night in a town without a hotel room... I'm not too conversant with night life, since I tend to enter my room at 5 pm, and not leave before 8 the next morning.

Taxis still run, but getting them back to this end of the prefecture is mad-expensive. ^^; You might be better off just finding a cheap hotel room, a capsule or something.

don't worry- I work at 8am, I will not allow us to miss the train on a weeknight!!

Tuesday, the 4th work for everyone? I could be in Umeda by 7 or so. If that time is good, we just need a place.

Tuesday the 4th should work, especially if we don't meet until 7. I'd have plenty of time to get downtown and catch a train to Osaka...unless something goes horribly wrong.

Edit: Okay, I looked this up, so correct me if I'm wrong. To get to Umeda, I just have to take Keihan from Hirakata to Kyobashi, then switch to JR and hop a...loop train that swings by Umeda? That's what it looks like to me, but if that's not it, please say something.

Yep! JR Osaka=Umeda. You can also go to yodoyabashi and take the midosuji subway line to Umeda.

Since it seems like later=better for people, why don't we plan to go to starbucks and just have cafe chill time? There's a large SB by the Umeda loft, and that way people can drop in/out as they please.

Kansai TGIO!
When: November 4th, 7pm
Where: Meeting at Umeda Art Building Starbucks. There is an arcade across the street- I demand post nano purikura!

How to get there:
Basically, if you are facing Hep 5 (the big red building with the Ferris wheel), turn left and walk down the street. Walk 5-6 minutes until you pass Tommy Hilfiger see a big grey building that says Umeda Arts Center in front of you. Turn right. The Starbucks is right behind the arts center.

Any problems, call me! PM me for my number and address if you don't have it.

I should be there...or at least wandering somewhere in the right area. Actually, a told a friend what I was doing and we're going together. She'll probably at least show me the way to Umeda station, if not show me to the Starbucks. She does stuff like that, which I'm grateful for when I'm going somewhere new.

However, I'll be the fat one in a blue paisley-ish jacket and a swiss army backpack that is falling apart around the bottom. Feel free to yell at me if I'm wandering around, looking lost. Also, if the arcade has Taiko, I am so there. I want to play that game with the drums, again.
