Never mind. I just pasted it without the scramble. It is now 4am and I was too tired to wait for help and too fried to worry about any theft. What's out there is out there!! Sleep is calling me! YAY!!!

It depletes word count every year. I suspect, though I am not sure, that hyphenated-words might be counted as one word. Also, I think sentences in which you use this punctuation--no matter how visually fun or useful it is--also wind up getting counted funny. I suspect that the words surrounding the double dash such as "example--word" is counted as a single hyphenated word. I just try to write somewhat over what I need, just to be on the safe side.
