Okay everybody, sorry for the late notice. The site for the Thank God It's Over Party has been found. We are going to have it at Epicurean, a fabulous place up in NW DC. Here are the details:

Where: Epicurean - 4250 Connecticut Avenue, NW, Washington, DC 20008 (202) 237-7711
Date: Saturday December 1, 2007
Time: 5:30ish until...

What to bring? A page from your novel to share with everyone else
How to get there: Not sure about parking in the area, so I would recommend the metro. Epicurean is on the red line. Get off at the Van Ness stop and the restaurant is basically as soon as you come out of the metro.

Epicurean is a restaurant/bar with a lot food choices and drink choices for all (adult and non-adult) :-).

So come out, share your tales of noveling horrors and accomplishments. Whether you hit the 50K or not, it does not matter, all are welcome and we would love to see you!

See ya there!
Your DC MLs

PS. I does not appear we are going to beat our friends from the north in Ottawa. Therefore, if we loose the bet we will have to sing the Canadian national anthem. Anybody got a way to record something to mp3 or other electronic format so it can be sent via email? If so, bring it along. I think I have a way, but better to be safe than sorry. So get your vocal chords ready "Oh Canada, our home and native land..."

It's at the Van Ness Metro stop...like 100 ft from the station entrance.

No "reservation" but they are aware we are coming and I hope to get there early to speak to the manager and get a set of tables or something in the bar area set aside for us.

2 pages is definitely welcome. You are welcome to bring as much as you want, if you would like people to read your novel, but definitely bring one or two pages to hang on the line for everyone to see.

Great to see you all tonight. In addition to the MP3 file, we did indeed manage to capture a successful video of our rendition of O Canada on video, thanks to Joyce. It's pretty cute, actually. But it's about 10KB. Anyone have any idea how/where I can post/send this?

I'm assuming you mean 10MB. I think you may still be able to post it to YouTube (they have some pretty monstrously big videos there). If you want I can post it on my YouTube page and post back a link here-- email it to me at TimothyChenAllen@gmail.com.

I'm sad that it's over. I'm going to miss everyone. Last night was a blast though. I'd actually like to see the video haha. Did it get Nathan doing sol fege haha. That was great. We're a pretty in tune group of people I have to say.
