Almost there...
Less than 6k to go if I want to make it just over the 50k homestretch and give me that purple bar that's been popping up all over the darn place.. I want one... Please.. :)
Started about three different stories on this, all are mish-mosh together. The final one has been going on and on and on like a very looooong short story. Have yet to break it out into chapters or anything else resembling a "normal" novel.. Hope that is okay in itself. This is the first time I'm doing this..
Anyways... Hopin for encouragement and support... All the guys at work are just shaking their heads amazed that such at thing like NaNo is even out there... I'm nutsy to them.. Woohoo...
Hugs to all who made it!!! Hugs and support to those who are getting closer with each passing minute!!

Just keep at it. I'm proud of anyone who works or goes to school and still attempts this November marathon.
As for any skeptics, the email I got today said the total number of writers involved this year went over 100,000 world wide over last weekend and the current total words written is almost 987,000,000! That really amazed me. To think that so many people are attempting the same thing at the same time...that we're all part of something so enormous. Wow.
(I'm not going to be able to make the Thursday or Friday meetings. My mom (85) had x-rays yesterday after her fall and a doppler test yesterday to determine if there are any blood clots. Until the tests are back, she can't be alone in case there is an emergency and we need to call an ambulance (she's legally blind and hard of hearing). So I'm staying close. But I'll be thinking of all of you )
And FlaFaerie, keep strong. I'm rooting for you!

my manager at work thought that i was nuts when i first told her about it last year. she could not understand why i would want to try to write 50000 words in a month for no other reason. then i let her read a few pages (of last year's novel) and she asked to read it when i was done. this year when i wokred the same days as she did she would ask me about where i was at word count wise, she still thinks that i am more than a little crazy but she still wants me to try to hit my marks. she also still wants to read my stories one of these days i may actually finish one.
