Just curious if I will see any Nano-ers at the Writer's conference/forum this Saturday at the Fairfield Public Library. Not sure what I have gotten myself info, but it seemed clandestine,...following my stumble onto the Nano site, so I am giving it a go. Sing out if I will see you there!

I'm going to be in NYC all day that day with my daughter and my brother and his family. We're catching the Radio City Music Hall Christmas show. But good luck, and report back to us on it!

Yes, I am going. it was all through a poets corner at the fairfield arts council and the follow up email from them re nano that I took the challenge on and won. I thought maybe I;d hit 37 thousand words but I hit 50 thousand . praise be to God.

Scott (adventurer) and I met at the conference today-that was cool...and had quite a full day it. There was a keynote address by Sara Nelson of Publisher's Weekly and four time blocks for break out sessions. I took memoir writing, humor writing, fiction plot development and children's books. All were quite interesting, with published writers on the panels and full of good tips. There were also sessions about finding an agent, what editors look for, writing biographies, etc. Here's a link if you want more info: http://www.fairfieldpubliclibrary.org/writers-conf.htm

Great networking too; a variety of writers both published and unpublished. Definitely worth doing (and for $50 you got brkfst, lunch and a wine reception!) Supposedly will happen again next year about the same time, so stay tuned!
