I now have 24 hours and 5,000 words to go. My novel, while it has some good scenes, is a structural and thematic mess and last night I blacked out and when I came to, I had written 3 paragraphs about someone extensively clearing their throat. I have begun to shun peers for the sake of my word count and by tomorrow it is possible that I may have moved into the woods with a shotgun and built myself a nest out of dead leaves and dirt where I plan to finish this damn thing on my laptop which no longer functions unless plugged in.
Good luck everybody. I hope everyone makes it out of November safely and parties like a freaking rockstar once they're finished.

Thanks Sarah, 6 hours and 2,500 words to go. I’m feeling good and I'm pouring out around 1000 words an hour, but I'm still cautious since a complete mental collapse could strike anytime. Congratulations to everyone who isn't pushing the deadline like I am, and good luck to everyone that is.
