ITS OVER!!!
----------And the final count is 43432!!!
About 13000 more than last year, so I'm happy.
Now I can go and find where my life got to.
And the cat who is sulking because I've been spending too much time paying attention to the computer and not her.

Oh, man. This was at the same time the hardest and the most enjoyable NaNo I've had yet. Very nearly didn't make it this year. First time I've ever actually finished the story at the same time as I reached 50k though, so that's pretty cool.
Yippee, indeed.

I was just about to come and start a thread like this!
Yay! We won! and to those that didn't quite win, Yay we all SURVIVED!
Funnily enough, I didn't notice midnight passing because I was off planning my next novel. -_-; I know, I'm a sucker for punishment!

Thank God it's Over!
Now I know why they call it the Thank God It's Over party....:)
This year was my fourth Nanowrimo and my most successful.
I would have to remark too on how much the group has changed since my first one back in 2004 - new faces, different events - there were more social get togethers and no write-ins at all back in '04.
This year I've made some new friends and reconnected with old ones.
It's been an interesting month this month and it has comfirmed my thoughts that we writers are a diverse, interesting and sometimes touchy bunch and I do not envy anyone who's had to organise events for us this year.
Having said that, I would like to thank the MLs for a valiant effort - it hasn't been an easy road for them and as I have remarked previously, they were brave to take it on.
I would also like to thank everyone who has done anything to organise anything that has encouraged us all along the way this month - whether that be organising write-ins or just encouraging words on the forums.
I've found Nanowrimo to be a unique experience every year I've participated. This year was no different, and I look forward with curiosity as to what next year's Nano shall bring. I hope you shall all be there to share the experience....:)
I wish everyone a safe and satisfying festive season and a year full of adventure and joy in 2008!
Hope to see you all tomorrow at the TGIO!

I miss not having something to write that doesn't matter...
I shall now move on to bigger and better things, like sleeping.

Yay! It's so good to be able to relax and enjoy it, like climbing a mountain.
I have about 5000 words left before I reach The End of my story, which is a nice amount. Enough to keep me thinking about writing, but not so much that I'll be too discouraged to finish.
And Chooky I can't believe you came so close! ;-( The number of people who reach the end of the month in the 40k zone is tiny. http://www.nanowrimo.org/eng/node/1027795 What can I say. I like graphs.
