Oh yes it is finally here, the final day of National Novel writing month. As of this moment, many of you have completed the challenge of writing 50,000 words in less then thirty days. Each of you is to be congratulated and drawn and quartered at dawn ....erm.... I mean celebrated - yeah that's what i meant ;)
No seriously, the pride Rachael and I have in each and every one of our writers is so ridiculously high that it stands on being overbearing. Whether you have reached your goal or not, the fact that you took this challenge on, tried to do something most only ever think of in a fleeting manner, and you became part of our Red Hot Writer Family is something to be so very proud of.
I didn't ask Rachael or show her this email before sending it out. But I know she feels the same. This past month has been hellish for many of us, she and I are no exception. At times when we so wanted to give up, just because we were wrapped up in ourselves and our own problems, one of you or many of you came into our lives and changed that. Just your voice on the forums, over an IM or email, or in person was enough to give Rachael and I back some much needed steam.
Watching the bars go from blue to green to purple, knowing OUR WRITERS were doing it......... sometimes it was absolutely tear jerking.
Sure Rach and I haven't made it to 50 K yet, and other Red Hot Writers haven't as well. We may not make it, but we're trying. One thing is for sure though, whether or not every writer makes it to 50K this month isn't important now..... not anymore.
What's important is the beautiful, warm fuzzies and joy and creativity and inspiration and driving ambition each of YOU has brought to Rach and I.
We owe you a debt we probably can't repay - But I swear, we will NEVER forget it!
It's Freaking Out Friday Folks, I have over 8K words to hammer out if i am to make it. I am freaked yes hahahaha who wouldn't be?
But instead of writing to you about how to get past Freaking Out, which you really can't do - you just cope - I thought I'd take this last Pep Talk and say what I know both Rach and I feel.
It's been a true honor and privlidge to go through National Novel Writing Month with each of you. We Love You just as you are - purple bar or not!!!!!!!

Well if it's any consolation, I managed about 7,000 word on Thanksgiving day in eight hours. But I also did other stuff in those eight hours, and I am a two finger-typist, really. so YOU CAN DO IT!
And even if you don't, so what. You rock for trying, we all do! Besides, didn't you already write abour 12K words? So technically, you've already done it. :o)
