It’s time for one of my favorite post-Nano items, your final stats. We all know the obvious ones, the total words and hours, but hopefully you’ll come up with a few novel ones (get it?) of your own. I’ll start you off with some of the easier ones, especially if you have a Nano Report Card spreadsheet, or other such tool. You may use some or all of these, but please feel free to add some creative ones of your own:

TOTAL WORDS WRITTEN: An extremely painful 80,250

ACTUAL WRITING DAYS IT TOOK YOU: Excluding the tech support calls 10-minute writing day and the editing day at the end to hit 80K - 21 total

BIGGEST WORD COUNT DAY: 11,000 on the dot

NUMBER OF HOURS IT TOOK: 13 OUCH!!! 105 Total hours

AVERAGE WORDS PER DAY / HOUR: 3774 / 768

HIGHEST WORD COUNT HOUR: 1253 at 1:30am on the 28th. I guess I still had some oomph left in me.

WORST DAY (EVER): 56 - no there's no K at the end, just 56. After all the tech support calls trying to get my wireless Internet access restored ended at midnight. That session of writing lasted a whole 11 minutes. The nap I took to recover lasted 6-7 hours. My only good sleep of the month.

HOURS PISSED AWAY ON THE ABOVE CALLS AND SHOPPING FOR NEW (still not working right) LINKSYS ROUTER: At least 7

NUMBER OF WEB PAGES USED FOR RESEARCH: My history has too many to count, but it looks like upwards of 150-200. Eeek! When did I find time to write?

NUMBER OF WEB PAGES STILL OPEN: 48

NUMBER OF MEALS SKIPPED: At least a dozen lunches

HOURS SPENT IN THE THINK-TANK (SHOWER): APX. 11 (Mostly at very low flow)

NUMBER OF FUN OUTTINGS YOU HAD: Maybe 2 Dinner and Enchanted (Cute, but I was so sleepy)

NUMBER OF HOURS SPENT SLEEPING FOR 3 WEEKS: APX. 3-4 per night. I don't even want to do the math on this one. Nothing like a relaxing vacation, huh? I think I actually slept less than usual - if that's even humanly possible.

HOURS OF TIVO YOU NOW HAVE TO CATCH UP ON: No more than usual. Squeezed some in during dinner breaks.

LOADS OF LAUNDRY WAITING FOR YOU: Two are in there right now, but there are probably four more waiting for runway clearance

WHAT YOU WILL DO TO REWARD YOURSELF: I was expecting to finish on Tuesday, but something went horrible LONG! That took care of a lot of rewarding time. Of course, that was going to be filled with house cleaning, putting in a new disposal, doing my room-by-room to do cleanup list - hmmm, no wonder I didn't finish early...what an incentive! Of course, there is tonight's big shindig!

ARE YOU READY FOR NANO 2008? Sure, it's still 11 months away. My wrists oughta heal by then. I think.
