I managed to get to "The End" at just midnight. and I ended up with 52,289 total. I have dial up so I couldn't get it verified at that point. Darn it.

8 minutes to spare and I barely figured out I needed to reset the regional time so I could find out I was 4 words short! I scrambled and made it just under the wire. Whew! that was too too too close.

Tunguska: i had the same thing happen with the time. Five minutes left, I hit the 50K mark, and the link was gone, saying i was well into Dec. 1st. I did not hit "the end" though. in fact, my very last paragraph suddenly introduced a sister to an earlier character that I didn't realize existed. Not sure that made sense: but the earlier character is being adopted into a family, and I thought the family was childless. Now there is a daughter. I was just desperately throwing out words though, and she suddenly popped into existence. Along with another puppy. (There are at least 4 in the story now).

lol. Nope, didn't finish the story, but I am only two scenes shy/short. The cops are racing over to the apartment to collect the 'bad guy' and the girlfriend is racing to the hopsital to see the 'good guy'. Then it's over. =) This is the closest I've gotten to finishing a story though, so I am very motivated. Maybe tomorrow or Monday. Yeah, Monday looks good. =) Night everyone! And congratulations!
