I agree and concur. NYC rocks.
The write-ins, the forums, the challenges, the word wars - everyone is a winner. great year to every one and Next year will be even better.

There was that moment last night when, I was sitting at home and had been typing furiously.
I flipped over to Elumir's word war page, we were AHEAD of Chicago.
I wanted to cry. I actually screamed, out loud.
For us to pull ahead like that - Yes. We. Do. Rock.

holy guacomole batman! i had no idea we'd done that. i just knew that, hey, we're us, and we're awesome. ergo, we rock.
i have many problems. few of them relate to my ego being too small. :)

Actually, if you add the Brooklyn-Queens totals, then we end up just shy of 14 million words, and in 3rd place overall. In the whole world. Take that, Chicago and Toronto!
I propose that next year we have two seperate categories for the word war (assuming we again take on Chicago and Toronto in our quest for revenge): overall word count, and number of participants to reach 50,000.
