Wow, I will leave the impressive number reporting to Caeraerie (or C as I have been calling you all month), but I have to say congratulations on the win this year!

I look forward to writing with you next year!

How can I tell how many folks from Maryland participate? I'm rather new at navigating the site. And I could not figure out how these forums worked at all. And I'm the admin on another site!

Why don't they show an accurate date/time stamp for last post?

Ok, two. Two questions. That's the limit.

thanks~

Caeraerie made that lovely data reporter thing (I am sooo not a math person). it has the list of the participants on both sides.

if you want to see how many "affiliated" with Maryland, you can go into your "MyNanoWrimo" tab, 4th from the left at the top. Under regions, if you've got Maryland there it will show you how many:

Region Description Affiliates Manage
United States :: Maryland Writing up a storm in the Old Line State. 1839 region settings
---------------
There isn't a link for a participants last post or update. You can view their nano stats on their profile page but that's not a time-date stamp.

Hope that helps,

Carol

tootalltotango,

There were MAJOR issues with the site this year. They switched from XOOPS to Drupal and it's been a headache every since. For example, I can't moderate my own forum here - I have to email admin and request changes. Drupal hates Regions and so our forums are not like the rest of the site. Dates and times are messed up, the thing about last posts means nothing... but this was all known back in October. They did the best they could.

Even the Word Count Scoreboard is messed up. It still has not updated to show yesterday's words so I have no clue what Maryland's final wordcount actually is. I NaNoMailed Chris and Russ about it.

In addition, because setting your home region requires hopping through a bunch of obscure hoops, many of our writers were unable to add their word counts to our total. But this is probably the same in every region. And if people don't affiliate, they don't get email or see our forum, so it does not matter what I tell them to help, they never get the message!

I NaNoMailed a ton of people, and a few figured it out. One of our great teen writers finally managed to affiliate, but never managed to set Maryland as her region. She tried, I tried to help. I emailed Cybele last night, but she could not either.

HQ had done all they could, and they plan to keep working to fix the site. They work hard, and when you figure only a tiny percent donate to keep it going...

Anyway, here's to seeing our final count, and to our TGIO parties!

Well, I have to thank everyone from both teams. The challenge gave me the motivation I needed to pound out 10K plus words yesterday and actually get to THE END. (My novel casually mentioning a much more interesting, much faster ending that I might like to try out helped, too.) Thanks, everyone, and here's to another great Nano year!
