Hey, guys!
A week or two ago, some of you brought up the idea of making a Pinoy NaNoWriMo 2007 anthology, which would feature short excerpts from the Philippine NaNo novels written for November 2007.
I have volunteered to be in charge of compiling and making copies of this anthology, so I would like to ask those who are interested (hopefully, all of you) to please e-mail me 1000-3000 word excerpts of your novels at this address: jc.cruz.2008@gmail.com
I would prefer that the excerpts be emailed as MS Word attachments, although you may also just send them in the body of the email. Please include the following information:
Name of Author (first name/nickname, middle initial, surname)
Age
Occupation
Title of Novel
Genre
Plot Synopsis (about 100-400 words)
Dedications (optional)
Please submit your excerpts on or before December 6, 2007.
A copy of the anthology will be sent to the family of our former ML, Erwin, who passed away last year, and one will also be sent to Philippine author and former NaNo-er Dean Alfar. If you are interested in having a copy, please let us know as soon as possible, either by replying through this thread or notifying me or our current ML Tina via NaNo PM or e-mail. We'll be charging P250 per order, which should cover the cost of Xeroxing and book binding (hardbound). You may pay for your copy at the TGIO party on December 8 (I might not be there, but Tina will be available to receive payments).
If you have any questions, suggestions or other concerns, please reply to this thread. (Suggestions for the title of the anthology are also welcome!)
Thank you!
- Julie

I see, I'll have mine ready then.
BTW. Will this be printed as a book or as a kind of a thesis hardbound cover?

I'm not sure I understood the question (sorry, not in college yet :P), but we're not designing any fancy covers or anything -- it's just going to be a compilation of works that we'll have book-bound in UP. So probably the latter, thesis hardbound cover.

Someone whack! me for this--you're not in college yet, Tina?! O_o
Ooh. I definitely want a copy of this! And I'll definitely be in on this too! But~! Just to clarify: do we have to edit the excerpts for compilation? Like, really, really shiny, magnificent pieces of works? Or just lift them from our novels, the true fruits of our NaNo-ing?

I'm not Tina, I'm Julie! XD (The tall one with short hair? And boots?) Tina has already graduated college, FYI.
Editing your excerpts is entirely up to you, although it isn't necessary. :D

Oops! Sorry! I meant Julie! OMG. I am so scatter-brained this morning. I just told one of my comms' mods that I'm turning 18--and our comm is marked for 18 and above. She said I almost gave her a heart attack! Hehe!
And--yeah, *headdesk*. Sorry. Really pathetic typo there. And I know Tina's graduated. We had/have the same course in the same sch**l. Hee.<3
Thanks. I'll see if I have time to edit. Otherwise~unedited version it is then. *will have her face burn in shame*
Oh. Good morning!^_^

Well, you can. But you'd have to pay additional for shipping. Is that okay with you? I'll let you know how much shipping costs. :)

Depends on how much shipping is. I'm only 15, so if it's too much, I won't be able to afford it. ^__^

We've only received 16 submissions so far, so I'll be extending the deadline until Monday next week (December 10).
By the way, everyone who is interested in ordering a copy may contact Tina to arrange payment and delivery (she's in charge of accounting for the project :D).
