So, we seem to have agreed to meet once a month for a write-in/meet-up.

Welestra and I are going to keep trying for a room at the Library, but in the meantime it seems best if we keep meeting at Infusions, as that is familiar to us, and the servers like us!

We agreed at the TGIO to meet this coming Saturday, Dec 8, from 1-3.

We also agreed that we would each bring a small writer-related gifty -- $5. or less -- for a random present exchange. If you want, I'll see if I can figure out a passing game of some kind to make it all truly random.

Of course, if anyone, for whatever reason, doesn't want to participate in the gift exchange, they are still welcome to come to the gathering!

Looking forward to seeing you all then!

I would love to get together with you, but will be working weekends up to and including Dec 23rd. If you are still doing this in
'08 I'd like to participate.

my email is knight underscore a underscore m at hotmail dot com

Thanks.

Off topic, when all was said and done (or in this case written) did we kick butt where Calgary and Delaware are concerned, or do we have to try harder next year?

I'll be there, bringing my Dana in case anybody wants to word war.

And Knightstar: We won all the per-writer events I think, and Calgary managed to win in terms of absolute numbers. They did have twice as many participants as us, but I think we did well!

Yes, I'm going to bring my laptop, too. Although the pressure of NaNo is over, I'd like to keep the habit of writing every day.

In terms of the regional competition, I don't know if anyone else noticed that the words people wrote (under great pressure!) on Nov. 30 didn't at first show up: our regional word count stayed the same all day on the 30th, even though I know that Peter, Richallyn and Girlwithapearl (and maybe some others) did big pushes on that last day. Anyway, I just noticed yesterday (Dec. 6) that our word count has finally adjusted: it leapt by 80K! So I think what it now shows is an accurate count.

Are RSVP's necessary for this event? If so, here's mine. Thanks.

Next meet-up is Saturday, January 5, from 1 - 3 p.m. at Infusions.

Some of us that day will be doing the WriYe 30K-in-a-day Challenge, so we're hoping this will be a serious writing write-in. Bring those lappies and notebooks and join us!

I'm looking forward to it.

As per our discussions of further informal write ins and meets I will also be at Infusions this weekend, let me know whether Saturday or Sunday, 2:00-4:00 or in the evenings from, say, 6:00-8:00 can suit anyone.

My computer completely died after a new install of Mac Leopard but luckily it has been professionally revived and I'm having fun using it again.

Take care

Rhonda.

I'm glad your lappy is working:-)

Saturdays are good. Sundays I work. As for the evenings, the time is alright with me, but I work a couple days a week next week and friday I'm working, but other then that.

Lalala!!

I'm sorry to hear about your Mac crashing on you; I hope you managed to save everything!

Either Saturday or Sunday is fine for me; I'm supposed to have an exam on Saturday, but if I go (big BIG "if"), I'd still be back in Hamilton in time for our meet-up.

Evenings are also fine for me.

How about Tuesday from 6:00-8:00, or 5:30ish if that's better for you? I can't do Sunday evening, only day and I think Sat would be okay, tomorrow, but there is supposed to be a mammoth storm!

Yeah, I was looking forward to a meet-up this weekend, but not sure just how much snow they expect on tomorrow afternoon with the storm.

Aww, that's too bad about this weekend, but I'd prefer that everyone stay safe and warm at home, rather than coming out during a storm.

I may not be able to make Tuesday's meeting, but I'll try if everyone decides to meet that night. Any other night next week is okay with me.

Hmm... how about trying a chat meeting at 2 o'clock instead then? I've figured out how to make a seperate room on the goodchatting server, so everybody could go through the chat feature on the website and not be bothered with other chat regulars.

Once you're in the room, just type /join #hamowrimo

...so, is anybody at all interested?

I could maybe make Tuesday. I might have friends over that day (though, that was because Shoe had to work on a project Monday night, but she's doing her presentation Monday, so they may come over tomorrow instead). I won't know until tomorrow, but I'd love to meet up Tuesday.

If not, the chat chris was talking about sounds cool, though I don't get home till 3:30.

Hi there,

Okay, I need to pass on the meeting dates. I can meet at your convenience, so peeps, let me know when is best for you. I think I have official bad luck.

I haven't heard any confirmations about tonight and now my mother-in-law has decided on a dinner party. I could show up tonight and have no one else there, so I think I won't....

Please someone, make a date and time and I'll show up... or we can wait until post X-Mas. Maybe things are just getting too frantic.

Take care, hope to see some of you soon,

Rhonda.

Saturday (yey I figured it out:-P) in the day-time is good for me, so if anyone else is unbusy then let me know:-)

Ms Rhonda, don't be so hard on yourself:-) I think it is just the franticness of Christmas that's getting us all.

Saturday is no good for me as I am volunteering that day. (It seemed like a good idea, a month ago).

I'm available on Sunday.

You guys, I haven't written a thing this month!!!!!!!! I think this post is the longest string of words I've put together since November. So, so sad.

That's awesome.

Maybe just you and me checking sporadically!

Let's meet up over the holidays, and then if anyone else reads and wants to show up, they can.

I just got all the comics and am busily reading them (they are on the computer, not real pages)

Hope you are doing well

Rhonda.
PS Congrats to your cousin

Congrats on the newest addition to your family, Ziggi.

Happy Holidays to everyone else. I'm being a Scrooge and not celebrating this year, but I hope you all have a wonderful day and eat lots of turkey and stuffing (mmmmm, stuffing).

We should meet up sometime soon, or else I'm going to forget how to write!

Hope everyone had a lovely holiday. I got a lappy just in time for Jano and am hoping to get finished the first book by the end of the month (20K in the weekend again? Hmm...)

baby Jacob is doing awesomely. He's so cute:-)

Getting together over the holidays is great. I'm free tomorrow, but that may be a bit too soon to make plans. Sunday is a no go, but all next week is fine (And we are meeting Saturday for that one day writing frenzy!)
