Greetings NaNo'ers!!

Congratulations, first of all, for participating in NaNoWriMo. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did!

I have created my own website for continuing my NaNoWriMo novel.

www.NaNoCoMo.org

The site is still in its early stages, so please bare with me as I learn more about php and general web-building.

this site is for anyone who wants to continue partially written novels. it doesn't have to be this years, it doesn't even have to be old NaNoWriMo work, heck it can even be a fresh story.

Whatever you have, if you want to write it, I'd welcome you at my site.

The forum is now up for posting.

Enjoy, and I hope to see you there!!

Hurray!! Oh, well done, Beladara. Have actually done some work on my nano-novel today. Have reworked Chapter 1 and (incredibly) am reasonably happy with it.

Well done, Kate!!

I've only wrote about 2500 words post-WriMo, so you're possibly (if not probably) catching up and taking over me. I'll certainly give you a run for your money though ;)

(btw - are you Kitty on NaNoCoMo?)

Hi Beladara

Nope, not Kitty. Haven't actually signed up for NaNoCoMo yet. When I tried to google it, I wasn't able to connect. Will try again.

You're way ahead of me...my inner editor is out and about now, see, and niggling over the odd phrase here and there so I'm currently moving at snail's pace. The group that met at the Beanscene tonight, though, have thrown down the gauntlet -- 10,000 words by next Thursday or bust. And there's me having to work on both Saturday and Sunday this particular week. Hmmm. What's wrong with this picture?

Most of us at the Bean have been floundering since NaNo. Starting and stopping or not starting up again at all. It seems to be a general syndrome. We found the write-in tonight to be terrific for breaking down the Post NaNo doldrums. Recommend it to everyone. Best.

Cool, well, the links right up there when you're ready :)

10,000 in a week? That should be doable. Of course, if you're working on the weekend... nasty...

Good luck though!!

I'll try and match it ;)

Hiya Beladara

Yep, am now registered -- as WillowCrow. Would've changed my username on NaNo but don't seem to be allowed to do so. Sigh. So. WillowCrow.

Am having to organize an after party for the Univeristy Carol Service -- only serving 600 mince pies and mulled wine -- so am a bit stressed and not very focused on my beloved novel. Will be very glad when this week is over.

Write on!

That's a lot of pies o.O I'm sure there'll be a lot of wine too =P lol

We had cheese and wine nights - never got as festive as mince pie as wine. Of course those night usually involved very little cheese...

It's good to see you there, please feel free to join in on the board community and post around the place ^_^

Looks like hard work happening here as well.

I'll be out here on Skye happily sewing away. If you all need anything from me, just let me know.

Reach for those dreams. They matter!

Thanks Marie ^_^

It'd be great to see you over there if you ever get the time. I know how much sewing you have to do though, lol. Not to mention how much you love doing it :P

Great! Next one is Thursday the 13th. The group has set a goal of reaching an additional 10,000 words by that date. You're welcome to join in -- I say this knowing you'll likely surpass this goal. ;-)

Hi Beansceners

I, too, have not met our ambitious target -- am around 3500 words. Hope to do some more before going to work tomorrow morning. I plan to be there at the Bean at the usual time and hope to get some work done with folk who turn up. The Christmas period is difficult, I think, and so anyone managing any amount of wordage is probably doing very well indeed. Hang in there. Congrats to all who've written anything at all! K

I managed a disappointing 3500 too. I wish I could have got more, but between car accidents, work nights out and 12hr shifts in England, I've been drained of spare time.

Good luck to all and keep writing!!

Hi Beladara

Only one of our number managed the 10,000 (we gave a cheer at the Beanscene). I was at the lowest end. Sigh. So, what's next? We've set a more modest goal of 5000 words for next week. Are you game?

The meet up was quite nice. The energy levels of some folk (including me) were quite low. A few of us (including me) had had terrible work weeks. I figure that if we got anything done at all, we were doing quite well. Anyway, the familiar click of fingers on keyboards and the scratch of pen against paper filled the evening -- along with pizza and lattes. The general feeling is that the weekly meet-up works quite well. We're all a little ambitious (publishing houses on our collective mind) and so don't want to get out of the habit of daily word counts. How are things in Glasgow? And hope you weren't hurt in those car accidents you mentioned. Best, KK

Worry not, the car accident was relatively minor. Got some whiplash, but nothing worse. My car, on the other hand, took a bit of a pounding <_< Idiot drove into the back of me at a roundabout. Fortunately he's admitted full liability, so the car's in getting repaired already. It's still more hassle than I could be bothered with though *sigh*

5k sounds like something I could manage. Especially since I have a long weekend this weekend. I just need to avoid my new XBox 360 XD

I really should try and make it to an Edinburgh meeting, they sound productive!! My regular plans on a Thursday end this week for a short period. Of course, the next week is XMas week and I'm off work that Thursday. However, I might be able to make a meet or two before my regular Thursday plans kick off again :)

Excellent! Look forward to seeing you some time. We are fairly productive, although I will admit, we lingered over our coffee quite a bit this past Thursday....

It would be great to meet you, Beladara. Do come if you can. Next meet-ups are: December 20th and 27th. First one in January is on the 3rd. Keep writing!

Cool - I'll try and get to either the 27th or the 3rd one. I'm actually off work those days, so it'd be a bit of a drive for the meet... but I'll consider it.

It'd be great to meet you guys and I really need a boot up the backside to get back into writing. I've been painfully negligent of it the past week.

Hi Beladara

It would be great to see you! Look forward to it. We're all struggling right now, but I'm happy to report that just about everybody is hanging in there -- including me. Even if it's just a little bit here and there, keep going. Push through and we'll see you on the other side.

All my best and have a spectacular Hogmanay on the night!

Likewise!

And a Merry Christmas to all, if it's your thing.

If not, then I at least hope you score a day off or two from it ;)
