Hello everyone! It's Laura, one of the Co-ML's for the Fort Smith region.
Thank goodness for text messaging and livejournal, because that's how our TGIO (Thank God It's Over) party has been planned between Shay and me. (My lovely Co-ML is doing wonderful and the surgery went fine. Thanks for the well-wishes!)
Here's the plan:
TGIO Party Tuesday December 11, 2007!
Sweet Bay on Rogers (the one across from Lowes, and between Taco Bell and Geno's Pizza)
I reserved the room for 6:00-8:00 with Heather. The actual party won't start until 6:30. Everyone get tthat? I need those 30 minutes to set up the goodies and stuff, so shoo!
Everyone is welcome to come. Even if you've never made a meeting before, come anyway! Bring pens, pencils, paper, and laptops, because we'll be writing with Shay's Box-O-Doom.
If you've already been to our meetings through NaNo or part of our new livejournal group, I'm assuming that you'll be at the party. If you haven't come to the meetings, then I need to know by Monday night if you'll be there, so I can get the goodies for enough people.

Every November it's something new! This year it was surgery!
You guys did great and made the job of Co-ML a breeze for me. (even over-looking my wacky ho boots comments)
Congratulate yourselves on a job well done! I hope to see you all at the wrap up party. I'll be there with my big ol' Box of Doom!

Just because November is over it doesn't mean the fun has to end. We will continue to have our Tuesdays at Sweet Bay Writing Group (Gathering of the Pimp Yeti Hos for those of you in the know) Meetings will continue in January after the holiday craziness is behind us. All are welcome to attend and our goal is to become a fully functioning crit/writing group. Anyone interested, feel free to drop me a line at cricketshay at gmail dot com or PM me here.
I know writing can be lonely. It's nice to among those of a like mind. Our current members range in age from the 50s to the 20s. The only requirements are a love of writing and a sense of humor. (we don't take ourselves too seriously and know how to have a good time)

But remember guys, this will be our LAST MEETING OF 2007. We will resume writing in 2008. I'll post here and also on our livejournal group (linked in my original post). My brain has been fried from pain and meds. I'm slowly getting better. I hope to be fully functional by Tuesday. :)
