I don't know about the rest of you, but I still have a ways to go before my novel is finished, despite the 75K words. Write-ins were tremendously helpful for me in terms of getting a lot done, so I was wondering if anyone else who's still working on theirs would be interested in still meeting up for write-ins.

Obviously they wouldn't be as frequent as during November, though. Maybe once every 2 weeks or even once a month?

It might also be useful for the editing stage, if/when we get to that. People could swap novels, then meet up a couple of weeks later to discuss their critiques, like a writing workshop or group. If that's appealing to anyone, I'd be happy to organize it-- I've been part of a poetry group that grew out of a workshop for several years, so I have some experience in setting something like that up and keeping it going.

Anyway, if you're up for something like this, let me know!

Our writing group, located in Mesa/Gilbert, is going to continue having write-ins starting Jan 5, 2008. Five of our members participated in NaNoWriMo, and three of us won. We published the write-ins we held in November, which generated a lot of interest, but few additional participants.

Initially, we are going to shoot for one write-in a month, and if it goes well we will increase it to two per month. Saturday afternoons will be the time.

Most of the writers in our group are working in speculative fiction. SF/Fantasy/Horror/Paranormal

If there is interest you can check out schedule at: http://writers.meetup.com/727/ All are welcome.

Jim

During nano i did a write in a the coffee rush on ray and dobson and it was a blast. They have great drinks and treats and it is right next to the lake so you can sit outside and take in nature while you write. I would love to do another write in there and my schedule is pretty open so if anyone is interested let me know what dates you have open and we can work something out :)
