Hello, Northwest Florida WriMos!
It’s been a little over a week since NaNoWriMo ended, and majkia and I just wanted to share a few things about the region with you.
The stats:
Regional affliation: 124 people
People that “homed” the region: 85
Active “homed” people: 30
Total affliated word count: 1,224,110
Home region word count: 669,601
Number of “home” winners: 10
It means that out of the 30 active participants in the region, 1 in every three people reached 50,000 words. And that is an awesome statistic.
And just look at the collective word count. Yeah, we didn’t win the Word War against Mobile/Baldwin this year, but we gave it our best shot. We gave our stories the best that we could, and that’s what matters.
Not how much you wrote, but that you actually wrote something.
And, alas, I am sad to report that this will be my last year MLing the region. Don’t worry, majkia will still be here. But as I’ll be moving sometime within the next year, it’s no longer possible for me to be one of your Municipal Liasons. It’s been a great four years with you guys. I’m really going to miss you.
