For all interested, Louisville Write Club meets year round to work on writing, editing, or just chatting with fellow writers. Typically, we meet at the following places:
Tuesdays - The Pie Pantry - 9208 Dixie Highway, near the Dixie Highway & Johnsontown Road intersection
Thursdays - Barnes & Noble - 801 S. Hurstbourne Pkwy.
Saturdays - Heine Brothers - 2200 Bardstown Road at Douglass Loop in the Highlands.
We generally meet each of these days, although sometimes when things come up, we may skip a day here and there. That's where official write-ins come in. On OFFICIAL days, the MLs and some of our most faithful writers are guaranteed to be there. So, if you only want to meet once in a while, come to an official day... :) Look for a post towards the end of December for official January dates. :) And we'll make monthly posts after as to when the official days are.
Until then, Happy Holidays, and Happy Writing! :)

I don't see a time...for when these meetings occur?
Just curious - as I am a newbie w/ limited skills or social graces - which might be a fine title for a country music song, but not necessarily a proper way to introduce myself....
Thanks and take care -
Iggy

Thursdays are 7-11, and Saturdays are, I think, 2 until whenever people leave, which seems to be 5-ish... I usually show up about 3 when I go, and speaking of which, is anyone going tomorrow?

Ooh, yes... Times. Times would be good. :)
Paloma is correct... Thursdays are 7 - 11, Saturdays are 2 to whenever, and I think Tuesdays are 7 - 9.
I was there on Saturday until about 3:40 or so... Wish I would have seen this earlier so you would have known. :-)

Then I'll try to stop by on Thursday. I have a story that's been stagnating and need some inspiration:)
I'll be wearing a purple fedora with a large feather on it, but how will I know whom I'm seeking?

Just look for a group of chatty people with laptops. I mean, sometimes we're quiet and actually do work, but outside of Nano, we blab a lot! :-)

I was out Saturday but running later than I thought I'd be. I'd probably have missed you even if I'd stopped in... which I didn't... oh well :) Maybe I'll have some free evenings again after Christmas... that'd be nice...

Yeah, I don't know about anyone else, but I'm not planning to be at any write-ins until Thursday, the 27th. If you're going to be there Saturday, post here... otherwise, consider Saturday a no go! It's the weekend before Christmas anyway. :)

Hello all. . .My writing has been on a broken back burner since moving to Louisville last year. I just read about NaNoWriMo in Velocity. Is this a good time to come to a meeting, or should I wait until the yearly writing month?

Hi, there! Anytime is a good time to come. :) We meet year round and we like to encourage each other, so please drop by!
We just meet, chat, work on whatever we're working on, ask questions if we can't figure out what the word is for such and such... etc. They're often working meetings, but there are some who have been known to hang out and play solitaire on their laptops. :)
