So, my story is supposed to be suspensful and mysterious. But after reading a lot of other postings I realize that they all contain some kind of crime and probably how it is solved. I don't have a crime at all, maybe just a question on the back of everyone's mind, could it still be mystery & suspense?

Well, some mysteries are more of a puzzle, posed and then solved. Check Edgar Allan Poe, and some of
Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes mysteries for starters...and add Nancy Atherton to that group...possibly a couple of
Ellis Peters' Brother Cadfael, too. Good luck!
