Hello! Still here! I check in now and again but have not posted anything. Was just dropping in to check out Big, Fun, Scary Adventure Challenge 2008. The holiday was good to me. I had my daughter home with me for a couple of weeks. Now she is back in Washington state and headed to Scotland after the first of the year for a month of ghost hunting then back for her last semester of college. The younger daughter is here dreading the return to school after the new year.

Me? Well I spent the holiday feeling grateful for the new friendships I have formed through NaNoWriMo. I started editing a bit with the support and encouragement of WriMo buddies thelonephotographer and elisgalpal. Looking forward to meeting up with them and MJDenn for our planned "monthly or more often" write-ins. Also would like to do some ghost hunting with wyntermoon and discuss magical realism with juiceboxfaerii. And I can't leave out Dawneieio who has the most brilliant ideas and words of encouragement. I hope she can join us as well. Of course, I look forward to one day meeting up with all of you who helped me through NaNoWriMo this year with your optimism and good cheer. Thanks!

Keep Writing!

Didn't know you were a ghost hunter! There are plenty of them in Lexington, BV and all of Rockbridge County. I like that myself. The timeslip novel has a lot of ghost stuff in it. Most of what I have written has ghost stuff in it. I'm still writing on it, and will have to start editing. Have you heard of Critters.org? That's a good group to run a story through to get opinions about what needs to be changed, or worked on.

I have won first place in a Fan Fiction contest. I found out Dec. 26th that I had won. Naturally there is a ghost in that story too!

LOL *hangs head* I feel so awful that I just haven't been in here roaming around or anything since the beginning of December! I've written something every day though this year! It was again one of my resolutions and so far, unlike last year, I've stuck with it and written!

We can still hang out in here and chat/post/message right? I just never seem to think of it until October when it's oh so close to November!

Is anyone working on their NaNo novels? Like editing or finishing? I haven't touched it since the end of November. I don't even think I've opened it since then! I have however written a FNL fic and I'm working on a crossover fanfic right now. Is anyone writing anything else after going insane with their NaNo fic? I will eventually finish my fic and then edit it. I have also realized I write more if I completely ignore my inner editor. She stops me from writing too much and I think I learned a valuable lesson n November. Get the words down, go back through and get rid of them if you must but you might actually like more than you think!

Peace, Love, and Giggles,
Deanna

I have been working on my Nano novel on and off. I'm still putting ideas on plot cards. Still working on scenes, just not at the pace of November. Eventually I will get it to where I can put it through the Critter que at Critters dot org

In December I entered the Jericho Rally Point "Christmas in Jericho" Fan Fiction Contest.. This was completely on a lark. I didn't expect to win, but I did get first place. I got some nice prizes.

It is easier to write without the inner critic or the Goblin of Perfection taking a swipe at me every few seconds.
