Part of my novel is set in late 1890s Tokyo. I have a character living in the foreign district--my only problems are 1) I can't find any information on what the district(s) were named 2) I don't know what these districts would have looked like--more Western, more Japanese, or a combonation between the two and 3) If I am just completely off base on any of this.
Any help whatsoever would be appreciated!
