Oh, I wish I had seen this thread last night, so I could have posted something witty and meta about sitting across from you.

For the record, those of you who didn't make it missed a good time, mostly involving me and nfwbls being politics nerds and compulsively refreshing news sites about the election returns. Not so much on topic, but there were good times and pastries.

Also, there was a lady on stilts on W 3rd Street when I arrived that informed me that it was Mardi Gras and I thought, "Ha, how funny is it that we are writing blasphemous things about nuns during Lent?" If I were Catholic, I'd give up my sanity for 40 days, because how else am I going to write this novel?

Well, 2 people dead. Double homicide, sure, but it totally counts. 27 more to go!
