I can't seem to find any information on the subject, or perhaps I'm just looking in the wrong places. Never the less, I can't seem to get any info on houses in 13th century Ireland. All I've found is castles, and I'm pretty sure my MCs can't afford such a living. They're just average joes. Could anyone direct me to a website or some pictures (even better, the pictures) of how they're supposed to look like?
If any more information is needed, I'll gladly give it.

They were made of stone and had thached roofs. I have a few pictures, but they're in a book. You might want to check this link, as it has some pictures. It should give you a decent idea.

Type 'Irish cottage' into the search box, and you should find what you're looking for.

I figured they were made out of stone, but I didn't realize how cute they were! Ah, I love old cottages like these.
Thanks for the link, I wouldn't have even thought about looking at stock photos. :)
*gives you a big hug* Thanks again! It really helped!

Read The Walking Drum by Louis L'Amour. It is a similar time period, and is AMAZING!

I bring this up again with another question! It must be painfully obvious, but right now I feel braindead.
Did a "peasant" family have a wardrobe/dresser to keep their clothes in?
It's just not clicking for me.

What clothes?
I'm just guessing, but I'd think probably a couple of pegs on the wall would hold the spare set. Or possibly a small chest at the foot of the bed.

I never thought of pegs, thanks for the idea. I appreciate it.

Or possibly a shelf fastened to the wall, I suppose.
I should think that only "well-to-do" peasants owned more than two sets of clothes, after all.
