I'm working on a steampunk-y, Victorian-regency-on-port-planet sort of project. The main character is a plucky young rebel who gets carted off by an alien.
They're having a heart-to-heart on their way to a safe location -- after all, he did kidnap her, although she's semi grateful to escape from an arranged marriage -- and he accuses her of being naive about the various aliens of the port planet. To convince him that she isn't, she attempts to impress him with anecdotes of her youth.
So far, I've come up with a few things (skipping afternoon tea to lounge in a harem, learning various esoteric dialects before she turned 13, wandering about half-naked on a k'sanii trawler, finding out the secret name of an elusive alien race) but she's had an incredibly busy childhood. I can't bear to leave it at that, but alas, I can't think of any more bizzare and outrageous accomplishments and/or events.
So, I'd appreciate some help from the lovely Sci Fi forumites. :) I'm looking for daft, crazy things for a young woman to get up to with a whole bunch of aliens, steampunk technology, and stuffy Victorians.
Your turn!

Those things just seem so tame! Ask around your school/work and see what people really got up to! just equate aliens with friends and pick a fun activity they could do.
What may work better is if the aliens had a different culture, which if she grew up with the aliens she'd of course she'd know. She may choose to address him according to his alien status, reveal some privileged information or reveal what the aliens are really up to and all the bad stuff that a young girl like her would really be naive about. If you go that rout I'll think you'll have many more convincing things and arguments.
However, if you're hellbent on the activities some include drag racing with aliens, climbing over roofs or sneaking off to some other "secret" location, playing games that only aliens know, trying drugs/alcohol/etc, sex, playing war of the world or some other kind of computer game, horse racing, tipping cows, bar hopping, playing pranks, staring in a gang, gambling, stealing, learning how to fight/wield weapons, voodoo magic, ku klux klan activities, or anything else that your aliens might find culturally different and amusing. Or you could make up an entirely different activity. They are aliens after all--you call the shots.

Well, as far as outrageous antics go, I think (I could be wrong) there was a time a while ago wherein someone tried to rob someone else's house. The robbee, in being paranoid and possibly scared to death, had somehow managed to make quick work of duck tape and a toaster and stuck the two creatively to said robber's face.
The marks were spectacular to see, and I think it's safe to say that he won't be robbing that guy's house again anytime soon.
Hope that sounds screwy enough to put into your story ;)
