I know that there are already tons of these contest not affiliated with The Office of Letters and Light, but could the Office of Letters and Light create a copy of NaNoWriMo and Script Frenzy? Like, NaNoWriMo would be in November, then in February there FebruEnzy, the Febuary version of Script Frenzy, then in May it would be MayNoWriMo, and finally in August it could be ScrAugust or something. It gets boring waiting for these things to happen again... I know that money is a factor, and mabye the extra two contests could be bare-bones kind of things, with the Forums carved up a bit to reduce operational costs. There could be no genre lounges or group forums... We would need to keep the plot docturing and Q&A forums, and posters could ask questions on the NaNo and Script Frenzy page. If we axed the YWP for those two contests and shut down the servers for 9 months of the year that operate the website, as well as taking away ML gifts and Alphasmarts, costs could be cut considerably... And having different months allows those that havent the time during November and April to do it and donate. I dunno... It seems manageable from my quick math and a glance at the '07 NaNoWriMo budget. But it probably isn't. But it's a suggestion, and this is where they go!
I have posted this in the Script Frenzy forums as well...

Interesting suggestion. :) I don't think they have any plans to initiate official challenges more than once per year per event, but no doubt they'll consider the ideas!
