Hang up the phone, stop the presses, call Gramma and the kids around the table, and switch off the wireless! After the longest time of seeing him at the coffee shop every morning, my memory's been jarred and I think I've finally found out Emmett/White Star of the North's real name!

Now only if the gods would smile upon me and grant me the chance to see him somewhere outside the coffee house...

Around the same time they grant me the nerve to actually talk to him...

Welcome to the weekly thread. The above is actually the theme of my 2007 NaNo. And the story of my life.

It's been a big week... I'm enjoying that brand-new-father feeling.

We had a girl on the 29th. The little leapling came out a 5 pounds, 15 ounces and 19 and a half inches long. I'll just post a picture here from her first 15 minutes of life, and then I'm off... The little darling has a "present" for me. I'll give you a hint on what it is: It's in her diaper, and it's not a toaster.

Seriously, what is with companies these days that everything has to come with so much dang shrink wrap and packaging? Really. I mean, that's like 10 pounds of packaging for a five pound package.

Congratulations.
