A plane is hijacked by Terroists, each chapter is based around a certain character or "Hostage" and we see how they're all coping with the situation. We also get to learn a little more about our beloved Hostages through Flashback chapters, I:E: One chapter takes place in present time and another in the past.

I'm not quite sure what you're asking for. Do you mean which genre it is or if the plot sounds interesting?
I'll just answer both. It sounds like you have a thriller on your hands. It sounds like a good story idea, but then again I don't read/watch many thrillers so my opinion may be a bit off.
