Well, to get it a little closer, If I step out my front door and look to my right, the Alief Community Park is less than a 100 feet from my doorstep. :D

Did you just move to Houston? There are lots of people in the Sugarland, Stafford, MoCity area. Some of us meet at the Borders in The Fountains, and at Coffee Groundz at Hwy 6 & 59. A group also meets at the Panera Bread at Westheimer & Hwy 6. Check out the Houston Information Page--it has a map with all of last year's regular meeting places.

Yeah, I moved here in November.
I know where the Borders is on 6.
Problem is, if the bus doesn't run to that point, I can't get there. Gas is a real problem when it comes to getting my roomie to drive me places and I don't drive. So it's the bus or nothing. Thankfully, you guys have a bus system that doesn't shut down til midnight.
In San Bernardino and Riverside, Ca. They headed for the barn at 6pm.. so that limited my after dark times as well.
