Hey guys, what is everyone doing before November comes along?
I'm still in a mad rush to finish a current novel I'm working on.

Mostly planning for the multiple original fiction ideas I've been thinking on. Having finally picked the one I'm doing for NaNo helps a lot... I won't touch it too much though, because I want to be able to have room. :) The other main idea I'm working on needs a lot of development, though, so I can use that to keep me occupied :) Aside from that, there's a bunch of school stuff - the PSAT in October, ordering my class ring, drama club, etc. Busy, busy.

I'm not writing anything at the moment, mostly because I'm lazy... Um, yeah. But I'm going to actually plan out my novel this year, which I normally don't do since I usually come up with the idea the day before Nano starts. And I'm going to work on my character's backgrounds, things like that. Maybe some writing exercises too, to get me warmed up. But I don't know where to find any good ones.

Between parenting and gaming (Spore owns my soul, atm) probably reading, plotting and brushing up on my internal thesaurus. I never did finish-finish my novel from last year (left it at 51000 words) because, like another poster, I waited until THE NIGHT of nano to sit down and figure out what I was going to write. I was a bit all over the place... but isn't that the point of nano? =D

I'm actually planning out the characters and working on ideas, mwah. Something I failed at last year. XD;;

Ditto the rush to finish the current novel I'm working on, haha. I've still got about 50k - 60k to do on it. I have no doubt I'll be done by NaNo, but I'd like to be done by mid-October so that I can have a couple of weeks to plan my NaNo novel guilt-free. Eep, guess I'd best get a move on! :P

I'm going to be trying to finish my WiP 'Come What May' though I'm only a couple thousand words into it. It's looking as though it's going to be a pre-nano challenge to try and finish it. I'm also going to be working on getting all of the research and wordbuilding complete for the novel that I'm actually going to write for NaNoWriMo. You'd think since I've been working on it since I was in high school I would be so much further along. xD

Get long term stuff, done and out of the way.
Plan my plot to a decent degree.
That's pretty much it.

Looking for a job (FUN)...
NaNo-wise, writing random short stories to get myself back in practice, writing little prequel backstory stories for my various characters, doing other things to plan my characters (filling out surveys, playing Sims of them, etc.), researching...you know.

Until November, I'll be planning my novel, of course. Keeping a daily writing journal to record any ideas. Daily writing exercises (that have exceeded 2,000 words for the past week or so). Anything to become more prepared!

Trying to decide whether to go with the idea I'd chosen for NaNo this year, the other plot bunny that won't leave me alone, or the new plot bunny that's just invaded my mind. Making up a list of pros and cons for each idea, as well as vaguely outlining each one so I can see which one is best. I might end up doing two, as I'm shooting for 100K this year.
Also working on my pre-NaNo novel, and doing as much reading as I can so I'll cut down on the temptation during November. And gathering music. Lots of music.

ah, yes. one more thing to add to my list- charging my ipod. Computer crashed over the summer, I'm afraid if I hook up my iPod all the music will be taken off.
but we'll see what I can do...

Getting school work out of the way.
Working out so the snacks that I eat during november won't add a lot to my hips.
breaking in a new coffee shop and becoming the owners friends so I get discounts
and plotting of course

Me, I'll be doing schoolwork and trying to decide on what idea to go with. The easy crack-tastic makes-no-sense story I could write very easily, or the in-depth story that's quite a bit more complicated and probably more worthwhile in the end, if I can finish it? I dunno.
I'll start out in a rut, though. I have a convention I'm going to the first few days of Nano, and my schedule will probably be something akin to convention, sleep, convention, sleep, rinse and repeat. D: Not much time for novel writing, but I'll probably fit some in. :)
Oh and KAYE, you can plug your iPod into your computer without syncing it, you know. If you had to re-install iTunes, the chances are it won't recognize it right away, and ask your permission to sync. But, to be on the safe side, I'd open iTunes and turn off automatic syncing. That way you can charge it without worries.

I am finding myself horribly bored with my current WIP, so I am digging around in my brain, trying to come up with something new and exciting to work on for this year.
I am also keeping busy with my sister's baby shower, which is next weekend - and of course, work, work, work.......

I'm taking a screenplay class and the final project is a 120-pg screenplay for a feature-length movie, so I'm trying to get that done completely by October 31 so that I can just edit it a bit before it's due on December 12 and then I won't have to worry about it in November at all. I'm also finishing a few fanfics and getting those beta'd and posted so that I'll have them out of the way, too. Basically a lot of writing to finish by Halloween!
Oh, and I'm making cosplays. :P

I'm working on my webcomic, like always. I'm also trying to iron out my plot for this year's NaNo and drawing character designs for it. I have a script from the past two Script Frenzies that's half-done, but that's on hold for right now. ^^

Outling for November, trying to finish a short story I started a couple days ago, spending a bunch of time with my family and friends so that they won't be pissed when I neglect them, and trying to get superb grades now so that I can maintain at least a B during November. XD

I have a novel to finish (first draft) and a short story to write before mid-October. And planning this year's NaNo novel, of course. This is the first year I've actually tried planning ahead. I usually start cold on Nov. 1 and see what happens, but I thought I'd try something new this year. lol

I'm getting school projects out of the way early and doing sporatic research for my NaNovel. Also I'm trying to finish up any fanfic ideas I have now so that they won't bug me during November. ^^;

Well right now I'm not really doing anything special except stalking the NaNo forums like crazy to keep the hype alive, but when it gets closer to NaNo I'll start cleaning up my room a little to get myself a nice working space and start collecting totems and basically just getting everything ready to start writing at midnight on November 1

I finally decided on which novel to write. And I'm still working on the plot for that one and my extra project (which was originally going to be my nano but I didn't have enough of the plot thought out yet and that's what killed me last year). So, I'm working on both of those plots and trying to do some writing prompts before I start writing to get warmed up.

Editing what was once upon a time NaNovels '06 & '07. I should be done with this draft by mid-October, which gives me plenty of time to plan for this year. It will be very nice to work on something different for a change.
