Hey Shayla and everyone!
I'm here. I feel like I'm behind already and with good info from the conference in AR this past weekend, I think sleep is going to become a treat for the muse.
Fifth year Nano - first year not being an ML or trying to move from one state to the other so there is hope.
I also participated in the August class.
I hope to have my writing blog up by end of the week. Back from conference armed with lots of goodies to share on there. When it's up an running, I'll share the link.
I also have a Nano group - Cauldron Cafe. I'll be doing daily posts, target word count posts, a couple of challenges and a couple of on-line write ins. (YIM needed to participate)
Hubby leaves tomorrow for three weeks then I can put everything in motion

Betty! I'm sorry I wasn't here to answer your questions. I'm supposed to be notified when someone posts but I wasn't.
Sig lines are weird on this forum. Sometimes they show and sometimes they don't. Allegedly, you can see sig lines the first time you enter a thread but not later. Kind of strange. I don't understand.

Yes, Shayla, I know what you mean about not getting notified from this group. It's very weird because I get emails from the other groups I'm in: Texas, Rio Grande Valley, Trekkies. I don't get emails from this group. Very odd.

Woo hoo! More signees! Is that a word? Whatev! More WriMos a writin'!
Since I'm not working a day job right now, I'm pushing myself to see how much I can write if I do it full time. Monday through today, my word count is 16015! Four days! I've amazed myself. I've also exhausted myself. *cackle* The story is a short novella and I'm really close to done. I hope to finish tomorrow at around 18-20k total.
NaNo should fly if I could keep up that pace! But then I haven't been doing it alone. Delilah Devlin has met me everyday on AIM to do timed writing. She's flying through the pages as well. Different people have joined us at different times to keep us on target.
We'll organize some timed writing in November to get things cracking! My AIM and Yahoo IM names are ShaylaKersten. Look me up if you want to timed write. I'm usually online M-F between 8-5 US Central time!

I've already been doing timed writing with Shayla. We're in the groove now! Hope we don't burn out before November. :) But best way to avoid it, is to get fresh blood in our timed writing sessions. So don't be shy if you see an invitation!

I love nano. This is my 4th, 3rd straight year.
Still have no idea what I'm writing, but it's not November 1st yet! Last year I sat down on 11/1 and started writing with no pre-planning and out spewed a great paranormal thriller.
Who knows what will come out this year!

This is my first attempt at accomplishing the challenge of 50K in 30 days. I've heard such good things from my friends who have participated--waving at Shayla and Betty and Delilah. And I've got my outline and chapters laid out on the grid from a Roses plotting session. Now I just need the determination because I haven't written a full-length story in more than 5 years. I've been concentrating on short stories and novellas.

Hello, NaNoWriMo Roses!
I need a new adventure and a new focus, so I have decided to join in the madness and write 50k in 30 days with you all. Am I nuts or what? I tried this years ago and got off track. I plan to stay on track with this group's help.
My most natural voice is in writing romantic comedies, though they're never nearly as funny until the second draft. Looking forward to this kind of scary challenge.

In my case I'm giving the house a good cleaning now (also because our kids and their partners are coming this weekend). I'm also cooking some meals doubled so I can have something in the freezer and buying some pre-made frozen meals. Thanksgiving will be in North Carolina this year and there'll be lots of people to help, instead of my husband and myself doing the majority of the work.
