Are any of you out there students who'd be willing to stick up some flyers (particularly in your English departments and libraries) to promote NaNoWriMo?

Hey! I'm not sure if I'm allowed to reply here or not (I'm a complete newb, have mercy!) but I'm a student at GMIT and I have a cousin in NUIG, so I could take some fliers and post them around if you want. We can boost our collective word count and win this mother! woooooo ^_____^

Course you can reply here, crowley! And welcome.... :)

There are flyers available on the site itself (http://www.nanowrimo.org/eng/node/1005807) - the first two are most appropriate - and we have some Ireland-specific ones at http://www.sharp-words.co.uk/nnwm2007/flyers.html (I really need to move these to somewhere more appropriate).

Take your pick, and spread the word!

Here's an idea as well.

Yeah, I'm over here in the US, but I do like to enjoy keeping up with everyone else around the globe.

Okay, Student Union is good. But how about the Library, and the Cafeteria *I don't know what you would call the dining area over there*, If you have Dorm rooms, isn't there a community board there as well?

*thinking thinking* Information Kiosks?

Just a few ideas. I used to go to a community college over here and they had tons of places to post things like that.

oh, well I'm not sure how you do things there but in my college we have to get our posters approved by the student union and then we can post them where ever, so that's what I meant. sorry if I wasn't clear :)

I spoke with Ian Sansom today, and QUB is doing NaNoWriMo events this year as well.

Also, someone might want to post an announcement to Studio-NI ...

Good luck!

Yep, already been in contact with the Seamus Heaney Centre and Ian Sansom, and I've posted about it in our new NI forum.

And I'll be getting round to Studio-NI probably tonight...
