Hello and welcome to NaNo '08!
I'm Lisa, your friendly regional municipal liaison. This will be my fourth year as a participant and my second year as an ML. You're welcome to message me with questions or comments, either here on the NaNo site or via email at olympia_wa@nanowrimo.org. We have an event calendar this year, hosted through Google, that I'll be updating as events are scheduled. You can find it here:
OlyNoWriMo Event Calendar
Please take a minute to say hello to your fellow Oly novelists and share your plans for this year's NaNo.

Yay! It's my first year doing this but fortunately, my roommate has also signed up for the writing gauntlet. So I anticipate many late nights chainsmoking and consuming illegal amounts of coffee. It's gonna be AWESOME!

Hello and best of luck wishes to all from out here in the Boonies!
I'm having a hard time comprehending it's getting to be that time again, lmao...I'm really excited to do this again. I finally won last year, which was my third year, lol, (and it was one of the WORST novels EVER to grace my desk...OUCH!) But I will do better this year because I've got the survival gear ready and worked up a "worst case scenario/disaster plan" JUST in case:) I've got the coffee, chocolate & nicotine cache & got the "writing music cd's" ready to go.
I'm a little nervous because I'm moving within the next 3 weeks so I know I'm gonna have stuff strewn everywhere while I'm looking for time to scribble in between all the Thanksgiving prep (I have a big family and it's a big deal, lol). All in all though, I'm really excited that it's almost HERE!! YAY!!!

I'm really excited to go at this again, last year I was a winner, so I'm hoping to keep the streak going.

Shannon here --- I was going to plass this year, and then got an e-mail from an old high school friend telling me it was all my fault she joined up this year and asking if I'd be her buddy -- so, I gueeessssss . . . . I'll give it a try. *grin* Again.

I'm Bre, or at least, that's what you can call me, if you don't mind. I suppose it doesn't matter that you know my real name is Sarah. ^^ Anyway, this is my first year doing it; I'm young, fit, and resilient, so, hopefully, I shall live through with possibly only minor head trauma from my head falling against the desk in exhaustion too many time. Too long nights and sore fingers, aye? Worth all the blood and tears, I hope, and I hope that's going to remain metaphorical.

Always the latecomer... Hello All. This will be my third try at Nanowrimo. Last year got about 1/3 of the way there, then life intervened.
I've injured my wrist, so I have no idea how I'm going to do it this year, but also don't want to lose the momentum I'm trying to build up. I can't really write with a pen or pencil, and I'm not really into dictation (my thoughts don't form well orally...) I
m an old school typist whose been tied to a keyboard for most of my adult life. I'm from rural Thurston County "where the roads end" but work in town at SPSCC. This year I DO hope to make one of the events.
Best of luck to all. (drink the coffee, skip the smokes, stay up late if it suits you).
