The World of Warcraft Guild was created last year by Teacake on the Misha server, Alliance side. NaNo-ers, past and present, are all invited to join in! Come rant about your disobedient characters, exclaim about successes, grumble about the WotLK release date and well, you know, procrastinate in general with a great bunch of people who are all in the same boat. All member are officers and able to invite new NaNo members (check "/join nanowrimo" for members). We have a tabard and guild bank tab (soon to be two). So I hope you'll drop by for some group procrastination. Or encouragement to quit procrastinating. Either one.

Oh yay! I'm glad this is still going. I've defected entirely to the Horde side now (I know!), but I think I have a clear space and I'm not creating a DK any time soon, so I'll recreate Teacake and join up if that's okay. :)

Edited to add: ZOMG Teacake is taken! Who would DO such a thing! :D I'm Misspell. I'll keep an eye out for y'all.

In the interests of being particularly successful at the noble goal expressed in our guild's so very apt moniker, I have been playing solely on Misha for over a month now. When November arrives I expect to be well and truly prepared for some serious Procrastination! Come join the NaNoWriMoProcrastinator guild. You won't regret it. Or, if you do, at least you'll enjoy regretting it.

Greetings go out to Dragonia (howdy Boss!), TeaCake (newly rechristened Misspell) , Nman and all the other fine NaNoPro conspirators from last year. And, of course, my very special friend and partner Jander/Kriesjeia. 8^)

Write on!

I may have to come on over to Misha and check out the guild. I don't know that I will spend a lot of time there since I do run my own guild on Area 52, but it will be nice to know that there are others out there doing the same thing I am and will understand all the ranting and raving.

So I'll poke yall as soon as I get around to making them so you can add me :)

I think my little gnome warlock Eury is still there. Realm selection screen says I have a toon on Misha, so I must have kept her. :)

I have absolutely no idea if I'll be around in November or not. With Wrath, I'm going to try to eliminate a *lot* of my procrastinating, and leveling a new toon is probably not the best use of my time. But who knows. I may get sick of my guildies talking about their fantastic DK's and come running to Misha as a safe haven of other crazies. :)

This interests me. I play but am kind of inactive on my current server/guild. I'd love to make an alt just for kvetching and idly playing while staring at a screen of text with no inspiration.

I'll look this one up in the next couple of days!

Ooh! Guild bank tab #2! Thanks Boss! (Um... ahem... now there is the little matter of permissions...?) =D

Our little coven of procrastinators is expanding! We now have threats of some transfers of lvl 70 toons, too. The Boss, Dragonea (lvl 70 Draenae hunter), has just arrived, and Mal and I will be transferring our main 70's to Misha also.

I just want to point out that anyone who joins us on Misha is not required to actually level their toon. Leveling is optional. Of course, for some of us (/point self) leveling is the breath of virtual life. lol That said, I hope the leveling will be staved off until the daily word count has been achieved; mine at least. So if you see any of my toons online during November please ask how my wordcount is going to keep me nose to the word-grinder. And let any of us know if you'd like the same kind of encouragement. We will be gentle, I assure you. ;)

Btw, all my NaNoWriMo Procrastinator guild toons have names ending in "sjeia". If I can help in any way with potions (Kriesjeia) or enchants (Sjeia) I will do so free as long as I have the mats (and the time).

Detovenaar, Marniemax, and Lumien, good to have you aboard! Misspell (formerly Teacake, our founder) welcome back!
Nman, /wave.

Malfeasance/Malveka, /kiss =D

Happy Procrastinating, one and all!

Look at that - what started out as litte more than a coffee-break chat room has turned into a real guild that actually levels and does stuff and has bank tabs. Way to go guys, that is seriously top-notch procrastinating. :D And thanks for the welcome back. I'm glad I'll be able to pop in here and there to see how everyone's doing in November!

I'm hoping we can continue the tradition you started us out with: the "teacake" break. =D

So that those who need encouragement will have a definite time period within which hopefully someone from the guild will be in-game.

I had been thinking something along the same lines, SJ. A set time when you're more likely to find more members online and a chance to get to know fellow WoW-NaNo procrastinators and discuss the day's progress. Before, the "teacake break" was set for 6pm server time (PST, unless I'm much mistaken). I would like to tentatively set it back up for that time. If that doesn't work out, feel free to send me an in-game mail or whisper and maybe we can work something else out that works for the majority of people. See you around Azeroth!

Wow, glad the guild's done so well the past year. I signed on a few weeks ago and didn't even think to check for a gbank.

I wish I had the cash this month to transfer a 70 I don't play anymore, but then again it's probably dangerous to do that before December, heh. I'll be on every once in a while with the alts.

Had a lot of fun last night as Vespy. Decided I didn't have it in me to play my warlock, Eury. I'll probably be around some over the next month, and then in November too.

oh man now i want to make an alt on Misha. For kibitzing more than leveling ;)

I am having enough issues finding time to level my 63 rogue main on my main server...

Yeah, and I am a major nano addict, far worse than wow, so i doubt she will get past 70 in november. so much for being caught up for WotLK...

ah well, what can a girl do?

Hello, everyone. A big hello to the newcomers to the guild, and a (slightly) bigger hello to Teacake, Drageia, Mal and Jander! ;)

I signed up last year when the guild got its start. Hard to believe it's been a year; pleasantly surprised the guild's still together.

The guild was my oasis when my guild on my "home" realm, Nazgrel, began to fail. (Nazgrel's motto: "Now only the FIFTH LEAST progressed server...in the world!") Since I became a member, I dissolved my guild, watched it re-form, and started raiding as a healer. A lot has happened on my home realm and my main character, but I always logged on and played Nman a few times each month.

If it was simply a matter of running away from Nazgrel, that'd be one thing, but I could have gone anywhere. No, what made Misha special for me was Drageia, Mal and Jander. Often, I'd play alone on Misha. Sometimes, especially recently, I'd have the good luck to bump into Drageia, Mal and Jander.

This is a great guild and a great, friendly group of people. I encourage you to join if you are thinking about it. It's fun. And who knows? You may be surprised like I've been and return to Misha after Nano's over.

I didn't stay on Nazgrel after patch 3.0.2. I logged on to Misha, where the Boss and I had a nice long talk about paladin respeccing. Pretty much says it all right there.

Feisty is right. I was all up in the STV, trying to kill Kurzen, when you logged in and the convo turned so interesting, I thought about stopping in the cave for a bit so that I could finish my convo before venturing further into the cave. lol

Great to see you Nman! My husband started the Horde thing. I created an undead to play around with on "his" side, and then it just kind of... stuck (I mean, come on, what is cooler than Tirisfal?). I love my forsaken, adore my guild, etc etc. I admit I don't like all those ugly cities, but I don't think I'll ever come back to Alliance.

But now that I have a new NaNo character for November I'll have to pop over and give Hogger a run for his money again. :)

See you all at coffee break time! I raid Thursdays, Fridays, and sometimes Sundays at that time, but the rest of the week I should be able to pop over to the light side.

Well, Mal and I got our 70's moved over. Mal is Maelwyn: Druid/Herb/Alch; Mine is Sjaneila: Hunter/LW/Ench. We put them to work right away of course. ;D

Me and the Boss started doing some dailies together, and Mal and I ran a promising young healer/enchanter/tailor (Vianthe) through the Dead Mines (commonly referred to as VC for Van Cleef, the major boss there.) Vi fell off into the water just as Van Cleef was killed and missed getting the Achievement, but left the instance happily loaded up with greens and blues to disench. =D It was loads of fun!

Welcome to all the new members! /cheer /yay

(Will post more info soon, and respond properly to recent posts then.)

PS *waiting for Marnie to bring her 70 druid over too. ; )

Hello again! :) I'll be logging once in a blue moon with my level one rogue, Trillianne, I'm quite proud to say that she didn't level at all last year, but I did enjoy stopping in and chatting (and commiserating) with all the guildies. I actually plan to pretty much ignore WoW for the first 12 days of the month in a desperate attempt to boost my word count a LOT before Wrath surfaces - and of course once that happens, I'll probably be spending any wow time I allow myself logged onto Duskwood where my mains live. (And where I run a guild who will be a touch unhappy with me if I disappear for an entire month.)

Good luck to all this year!

I'm counting on Wrath to be a hugeeee distraction this month too! However, I may need to create a new toon for that server to group with all you other stressed out novel writing guildies. :D

Hmm.... maybe I'll dust my character off on that server. I don't even remember my name from last NaNo! *goes to look* Thida! Lvl 1 Pally.

My mains are on Ravenholdt. Feel free to look me up if you play on that server. I play Horde over there, but I'd be happy to /hug or /cheer if you play Allie... even ask my guildies to not kill you. ;) Lvl 70 Pally - Tirille and Lvl 55 Mage - Telanna are the two I'm on consistently right now. Though, chances are real good if you do a lookup of the guild Shenanigans and see a name beginning with T, chances are it's me with only a couple exceptions.

Whelp, looks like it's time to roll an alt.

My main is a Gnome Mage on Dragonbilght, but I've got some alts on there, as well as Emerald Dream and Maelstrom. The hard part is going to be writing when WotLK comes out. I'm dreading those days. I'll be asking for an invite in about an hour and a half!

Howdy Suzannah here... I joined the guild yesterday and am glad to have found you guys. I look forward to the next month of so hanging out with other NaNo'ers...

I usually play on Aggramar server... Ally side. My main there is Suzannah "Suz" a lvl 70 human priest ( I usually have at least one suzannah on every server I play on... and no, thats not my real name) I also have quite a few alts there, I have been playing wow for many moons now =) and have even spent some time on a pvp server. I also have some horde toons on different servers, the highest level one being Mirrian, BE priest lvl 49 on Duskwood. Can you tell i love my priests? *grin*

Since the one thing I will more then likely be doing, besides writing in November is playing wow... this will be a lovely way to mix the two and perhaps even gain a little accountability so if you see me on feel free to ask "...and how many words do you have today Suz?" my word count will thank you for it =) LOL I look forward to getting to know you all...

Ruga, lvl 28 dwarf rogue, here.

I let her languish for months while I was leveling my hunter on Earthen Ring (I now have two 70s there!). But I did run her around a bit last week, just to stretch the muscles. And I will certainly be procrastinating with her in November.

Now if only I had a plan for my novel...

I joined the NaNo guild last year and actually got my NE druid (Moonage) up to 18 or so.

And when November was over I promptly abandoned her and went back to Horde on Arathor. :-) Because Teacake, you're right -- NOTHING is cooler than Tirisfal. (my main is an undead lock).

This will be great -- I can log on and get my WoW fix... *ahem* I mean, mental break... without having to answer to my guild on Arathor.

See you in Northrend!

Welcome, welcome,welcome!

We are becoming many!

We have level ones.
We have level tens.
We have level thirty-fives.
We have level forty-nines.
We have level seventies (three so far..).
We have people who write reams
and people who put their heads down and level constantly.
We have fun chatting about WoW, about writing, about Nano.

Welcome one and all to the Nanowrimo Procrastinator guild!

PS: Watch out for Zombies! They're Everywhere! (Enforced PVP on a PVE server =dahsuxxorz!) But what the heck. Its a great lead-in to the Wrath Expac. I'm finding ways to have fun with it and I'm really looking forward to getting my DK. Uhh... oh, yeah, and writing my November Novel, too.... /blush =D

Look for my toons on Misha Realm, Sjaneila (70), or with names ending in -sjeia, or for Malfeasance or Maelwyn (70), or the Boss in any of her Drag- incarnations: Dragarri, Dragauri, Drageia, Dragonea (GL-70), etc, etc. Or anyone else with the Procrastinator guild tag. Let us know your nano-forum handle and any other stuff about writing you want us to know and we'll send you a /ginvite. Like I said to Vulpe (was it Vulpe?) "We don't let in just ANY riff-raff, you know. ;)" ;)
