I know, I know...all you must be wondering if I will ever shut up. I have been known to flood the forums with stuff, but my mind doesn't seem to be shutting off lately, so why not do something worthwhile instead of just playing games. Also, I blew out my knee again today, playing disc golf, and I'm stuck in the bed right now.

So......

I just wanted to drop a line in for tools we are using to help us. There are many who don't know of these tools out there and I wanted to set up a forum thread so we can spread the wealth. Here's the stuff I use (i'd be happy to email any of the stuff I have to anyone that would like it):

Cameron's Outline Helper - This was designed in excel. It's a seven worksheet interactive file that I've found useful more than once. If you aren't local, you may have to Google it. If you are local, come to the meeting on Sundays and I can pull it off my laptop.

Character Worksheets - Warbric gave me this a long time ago. It's thorough. I think there's like five pages to it. Very nice.

World worksheet - I have a multi-page worksheet that I built for fantasy worlds. Anyone that wants it let me know.

Anyone else?

I like to use is Scriveners. It is only for Mac however. It has a wealth of features for the writer.

I left Scrivener to go back to Word -- for now anyway -- and divide my time fairly equally between Word 2003 (on Windows) and Word 2008 (on Mac).

Scrivener is great, but it makes me feel a little too confined in some ways. A problem I'm sure I wouldn't have if I were better organized in the first place!

I gave Stravos the Character Worksheet but, of course, I always forget to use it myself. Typical. Organization... yeah, gotta get me some of that some day.

I used that yWriter2 freeware last year. Don't know if I will this year; last year I did individual chapters on notepad out of habit, so I needed the word counter, but this time I'm using Word.
Still, not a bad little piece of software. I can't remember if you gave it to me on a thumbdrive, Stravos, or if I downloaded it online.

Now that I think of it, I think I did give it to you. Funny. I used it last year and then tossed it to the side. Guess we all get caught up in our "normal" way of doing things and don't want to change. I'm still using Word.
