Sure? May as well have some fun with others while having fun by ourselves! Things're almost always better with more than one person, y'know?

hmmm....i know poppa rollos reserves rooms for groups, they only charge 15% gratuity if i remember correctly, but it would only really be worth it if we had a decent sized group because if theres less than ten, i doubt the waiter would make enough money. lol. but who knows. that would be a pretty cool place to have a write in though since they're open pretty late and they have places for plugging in laptops and while it's not my favorite pizza in the world, their salads and spaghetti are awesome and they have beer if you like beer. i'll ask around to see how many of my friends would be up for a kick-off write in on november first. it's a saturday. :D just random thoughts so far. I've had benadryl. hehe.

oh, and i started a waco wrimos myspace group for anyone who's interested. my myspace is neferwicca and the group is called waco wrimos. lol. it'll be used for more than nano though.

time for sleeeeep.

I'd like to go to a meet up group just to see the other people who are working on their novels. Of course, I work nights, so I may or may not be off during the time. Either way.

Hey everyone. I know it's a bit out of the way if you live in Waco, but down in Temple we're going to have a NaNoWriMo meetup + write-in every Tuesday at 7 during November. We meet at the Starbucks on Adams/I-35 in Temple.

I run the Temple Writers Meetup Group through Meetup.com, and I've joined forces with the official NaNo Municipal Liason for Killeen to organize these events. Check out the Killeen message boards for more info. http://www.nanowrimo.org/eng/node/2016848

You can also request to join my group here: http://www.meetup.com/Temple-Writers/
Our NaNo meetups will be open to everyone, but if you join the group you get better access to the calendar and resources and more.

I'm in. Too bad they closed Beatnix... that would've been PERFECT. Otherwise, I'm just in.

so....should i make some kind of reservations for november first? i'm still game for poppa rollos since they dont charge to rent out the room, you just have to tip, and we can all order our own food. plus they have quite a few outlets in the west bank room and it's all closed off and cozy like...pretty great for writing. all this is IF it's not already booked. but if it isn't and i book it for...say....5 or 6pm november first, who's actually going to show up?

I would love to, if I had time. And a car. I'm currently limited to being able to go to places on or near Baylor's campus, and November 1 WOULD be the day of our homecoming game and parade. I probably won't get too many words the first day because of that.

I'm game for meeting up.

Also, I have a car, so if anyone on campus needs a ride, I could probably manage it. Just PM me with your Baylor email and we can fix things.

I'd love to go, but I'm totally broke. Like, in the negatives, so I wouldn't be able to help pay for the gratuity or whatnot. If you'd still have me, I'll be there. *laughs*

Woah, I hadn't realized Nano literally starts on Baylor's homecoming day. That's just great. Means I'll get almost nothing done on Saturday.

Yeah, I can't make a meetup this weekend, but I'd love to attempt to sometime next week.

I really wouldn't be able to eat anything, but I'll bring my laptop and meet with everyone. Or if no one wants to eat, Barnes&Nobles always has people just hanging out there....Just a thought.

Either works me. B&N would be free all around, except for maybe gas, lmao.

And all you Baylor kids should just skip Homecoming and come out to a meetup tomorrow night. Baylor sucks anyway; go Aggies! >.> *hides from firing squads*

8 and a half hours to go. Yes!

So, are we meeting somewhere? I'm game for either B&N or Papa Rollos, I just need to know when and where.

Four and a half hours to go!

Hey, you guys! We should REALLY consider having a meet-up group or something this weekend. It would be fun. If anybody has suggestions for a location/time, that would be pretty awesome.

My thoughts are maybe Saturday afternoon, just for a few hours. I dunno. Post your thoughts on this!

I'm game, though where does not much matter to me. I think I can wrangle a few dollars if need be. All I really know is I should be coherent again by Saturday, and hopefully be ready to keep going on my novel. I'm only half way through it...stupid plot. >.>

Dang... Saturday afternoon got knocked out for me by Stepping Out. I finally get a chance to participate. I am going to go freeze my butt off now and walk to the IHOP right next to Baylor's campus. A friend and I just decided to stage our own mini write-in about 2 minutes ago, so if anybody gets this in the next 20 or so minutes, that is where I will be! You are more than welcome to come find me, especially if you live on or near Baylor's campus.

Hi. I belong to the Waco Writer's League. It's an informal group that meets once a month for dinner and discussion at Panera's. We are not meeting in December but starting back up in January. If anyone is interested in joining us, let me know and I'll get you the details.

We do have a couple of published writers in the group that are willing to share their experiences and give advice.
