Hey everyone just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Ashley-Lane and I am the ML for the Fayetteville and Ft. Bragg area. I have been doing NaNo for years now and am looking forward to the challenge of motivating all of you to finish your novels on time.
Basically I just want to know who wants to meet up, even if just at the local Barns and Noble or something so that we can have some interaction, word wars... and lots of coffee!
If you need anything from, or want to know anything about me please don't hesitate to let me know.

I want to meet up! I was not a winner last year, and I really need the accountability to keep my word count up. Barnes and Noble is good, but there is also this really cool internet cafe/coffee shop that I love on Ramsey Street in Fayetteville. That would be a fun place to meet. We could also reserve a conference room at a public library if we want to have a quieter place to work sometimes. I hope other people post. I'm so psyched about this years nano! Can't wait for November 1st!

the internet cafe/coffee shop sounds like a good idea. I am still new to the Fayetteville area so i don't know a lot of places, other than book stores because i am a total bookworm LOL, to have these meetups. I will defiantly take a look into it though!
----------Do you know the name of the place so that I can Google it?

It's called Java Cafe on Ramsey Street. I'm a bookworm too, lol! I love B & N! But this cafe is quieter and more intimate and has internet hookup, computers, and bigger tables. Good coffee/tea/smoothies too. :)

I'll see if i can't talk to the manager tomorrow... i am also looking into the local libraries to see if they will be willing to host us. I am also trying to think of a wacky off-the-wall kind of place to host one write in... although i am not sure if i will be able to pull it off this year.
----------To my knowledge this area hasn't had an ML before (or at least not last year) so i am not sure if people know what's going on. I hope they do. but if worst comes to worst it looks like i will have at least on writer attending a write-in or two LOL.

Hello!
----------This is my first year doing this. I've mostly written poetry and a couple of short stories, so I am looking forward to the challenge of a novel. I would love to meet up at either Barnes and Noble or a local coffee shop! Just let me know when and where!
