Personally, I don't really haunt the other forums because I ... well, I just generally don't.
So I thought it would be good idea to bring some of their posts here, for us alone. That being said, here's one I thought interesting.
What things do you consider vital to completion of your novel?
* Aerygon [my laptop] and either Re-Wrote or Firefly [my two main USB drives].
* At least one evening to myself a week, preferrably in a bookstore or coffee shop.
* Somone to challenge against in word count.
* my NaNo writing journal.
* Daily doses of coffee, hot tea, and/or mountain dew.
* My progress chart.
That's about it for me. ^__^

meh, that's really not that bad of a list, though with some of the craziness going on, I kinda wonder how you manage even that bit. x.X
but, to answer the question.
I need:
~my compy
~to quash my usual self-doubt
~my Jumpy-drive
~the ability to pull enough time out of my ass to make some sort of dent in my story (a miraculous event really. Not sure why I keep so much up there in the first place)
~to overcome the physical need for sleep (sleep is for weenies)
~to be able to bug the long-haired one at any point in time so i can send her bits of the story and feel better about myself when she compliments it
I think that just about covers the basics for me.

Wow...first off, I love the idea of naming the laptop and USB drives. I'm sooooo gonna do that.
Here's my list:
- my laptop (the ability to write anywhere)
- my thumbdrive (the ability to access my work anywhere)
- competition (I thrive on it; word war) ......thanks, starian!
- a few hours quiet each night
- my wife
- my friends
the last two go without saying. I never really thought i could do this until I was challenged to. Since then you all have shored up me during some really hard times. My wife's support and belief is essential.
Ok, ok...I'm such a sap.

Oooh, I need to name my laptop and USB drives...teehee. =)
My list:
- My laptop (although, I have to carry around an extra keyboard with me because it's keyboard is shot...*cries*
- My thumbdrive (for obvious reasons)
- Music to fit the scene
- A few quiet hours whenever I can find them...
- Coffee (with enough sugar and creamer to put the average human into a coma)
- Joseph (although I'm sure he's going to be sadly neglected during the month of November, he's going to be my #1 in trying to get through all this insanity. *sigh* Gotta love him. Jeez, now I'm the sap...but we can be saps together, Stravos. *laughs*)
Yup..I think that's about it. <3
