I actually go to MTSU and it was kind of freaky what happened last week. Anyone else who goes there want to share experiences/information? One of my best friends was interviewed on Channel 5 about it, which was kind of cool.
(And maybe it's just me but it could be cool to have someone write a story about a deranged dental hygiene student!)

I was on the campus when they told us all to leave, that classes were cancled. Kinda scarry...and today Peck Hall was closed for about 25 minutes because there was a suspicious package...it ended up being nothing, but they wouldn't let anyone go inside the building. I had a class canceled because of it.

Dude, i wondered what was going on over there! I had a class in the JUB and we could see the commotion outside during my class.
I'm mad it didn't happen today, this afternoon. I want out of my Intro to Lit midterm.

My husband works at the campus police station and told me all kinds of juicy details... Apparently the guy who set the laundry bag fires in the dorms confessed via e-mail using his roommate's name and account. However, the computer lab he was using is under video surveillance and upon coming to arrest his roommate, the cops realized pretty fast that it was the wrong guy since he didn't fit the eyewitnesses' description.
I was mystified that they would shut down the entire campus when that was obviously what the guy wanted them to do. Someone wants to get out of classes before fall break, and everyone panics. The terrorists win.

yeah, I know. ridiculous...but at least they are being cautios. I'd rather them do that then let such a thing slip, and have it to be a serious problem.
