But, I for one, am a lot more comfortable in English. So I guess we could fill out some stuff, do a little dance, make a little love and well, you know the rest of it.

[Copy-paste and fill it out.]

How'd you find out?:

A favorite quote by another writer:

Your favorite quote by you:

Here's me...

Name: Veronica

Age: 17

How'd you find out?: Youtube... I think.

A favorite quote by another writer: "It is nothing to die. It is frightful not to live"- Victor Hugo

Your favorite quote by you: Life doesn't have a time unit--it takes a fraction of a second, a song, a kiss, a day with your friends, a cup of coffee or just some shoe laces to change who you were. And you can never ever say you're the same person or that you're with the same people because they've changed too. (Wow, that was more like an excerpt)

Some room for whatever you feel like saying: Um, I just had a popsicle. It was good. What made it even better was that I ate it while watching Heroes. Word.

Well, I hope my nerdfighter-ey-ness didn't scare you all...

Name: *none until I make up a very eccentric one*

Age: 17 years, 2 months, 20 days, 11 hours, 6 minutes and counting.

How'd you find out?: I don't recall...

A favorite quote by another writer: "All happy families resemble one another, each unhappy family is unhappy in its own way." ~Leo Tolstoy. I don't exactly agree with this quote, but it was certainly interesting to ponder in which instances it did apply.

Your favorite quote by you: This is not my phrase: It turns out that when you read in large quantities, you forget whether your thoughts are yours or derived from a passage you once read.

Some room for whatever you feel like saying: I'm a person of very, very, *very* varied interests, though not exactly knowledgeable. As I already told one of you, I'm fine writing in either English or Spanish. Let's see... I'm an insomniac and I did not like La Charca.

How'd you find out?: Just, y'know, word of mouth. Mostly in LJ, though.

A favorite quote by another writer: "There is a theory which states that if ever anybody discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable. There is another theory which states that this has already happened." --- Douglas Adams

Your favorite quote by you: No.

Some room for whatever you feel like saying: Fuck La Charca. It's a horrible book, regardless of its Classic Puerto Rican Literature status.

I'm a bit of a douchebag, both RL and online. :D

Name: Carmen Ana Viera Laster A.K.A CAV LASTER

Age: Psst get closer…okay, I’ll tell you. I’m 28. LOL.

How'd you find out?: On WDC, I found one of my review assignments to mention this sort of thing. So, I pondered and decided to give it a try.

A favorite quote by another writer: Haven’t found one yet I’ve found a liking to! LOL.

Your favorite quote by you: Your imagination is a gift. Use it!

Some room for whatever you feel like saying: Ummm. Well, let’s see. I’m happy that I won 1st place in the suspense magazine competition for September. I’m going to start participating in Suspense Radio for www.suspensemagazine.com
They will be airing me reading my short story ‘When Death Comes to Visit’ If not this Saturday, then the next.

I can’t wait! Yippee! I’ll be the first boricua to participate among this crew. They say they love my voice, even though I beg to differ, but I guess the Americans love to hear the Spanish accent. LOL. I am so happy. I’m finally taking my steps into achieving my writing goals. I am also a Fantasy Romance writer that goes by another pen name. My editor loves my druid romance story, which brings my readers to sample glimpses of our tropical Island. I’m currently editing my first epic novel, Lemuria’s Last Hope or The Conquest of Lemuria. I’m still debating on the title. But it places the story here on the Island, as well as its sequel, ‘Elaron’.

If you go to my sigs in my personal WDC, you can see what my stories are about. Of course you have to register to see it! Best wishes to all!

You have to say though. The end of La Charca is hilarious, woman literally drops dead on her mommas laundry. I dindn't like it much myself though, specially after my epic fail on the test even though I read it.

How'd you find out?: Through a few people on FF.net

A favorite quote by another writer: "Do or do not; there is no try." - Not sure who I first heard it from, but I think Yoda (Star Wars) is the one who says it in this particular way. "Do or don't do; to try is to fail" is the accurate one.

Your favorite quote by you: "To put ourselves into the shoes of another, for better understanding, is to see the world through they're eyes. How can we do this when we can't even see where we're going?" - Just made that up.

Some room for whatever you feel like saying: About time this region got more active. Viva Puerto Rico!

Wow, I just read my syntax up there. Ignore it. Grammar dies when you're sleepy.

We read this other book last year called Santitos and it was even worse. Its about this chick whose daughter dies but she's in denial--she think she's been forced into prostitution. So she goes around Mexican brothels looking for her kid and in one of them, they have this room that no one but the owner is allowed to enter. She thinks her daughter is in the room but then it turns out to be a cow. That thing was fun-ee.

Woa, I gave you a whole precis. Sweet.

Ehhh...

How'd you find out?: El Internet es bello! Mayormente Livejournal.

A favorite quote by another writer: "The value of things is not the time they last but the intensity with which they occur. That is why there are unforgettable moments, unexplainable things, and uncomparable people." Fernando Pessoa

Your favorite quote by you: No he encontrado la que es todavía. :)

Some room for whatever you feel like saying: I am a word nerd who collects quotes, devours books, and basically has a love affair with language.

I had no idea there were so many others here in PR doing this too XD

Name: Amber J. Gardner

Age: 22

How'd you find out?: From a friend, back in High School.

A favorite quote by another writer: "Follow your bliss and the universe will open doors where there were only walls."
- Joseph Campbell

Your favorite quote by you: If you walk on the edge with confidence, you have less chance of falling.

Some room for whatever you feel like saying: Well lets see. I've been living in PR since I was five years old, though I'm very American. I prefer English over Spanish and have been writing since I was in High School. I thought I was sort of alone doing this writing thing, but I now I see otherwise XD Awesome. I've tried NaNo and unofficial nano a few times (the latter more than the former) and haven't won yet, but this year I have a good feeling.

I like fantasy and science fiction and I'm aiming to become a published novelist ^_^

How'd you find out?: This one website with all sorts of strange holidays...and NaNoWriMo just "happened" to be on it. Then I heard about it again in a blog about books. I finally got around to it!
