Hey! Minneota, MN students who are NaNo-ing after Ms. O harangued you so many times in class! This is a thread to meet up and greet up and encourage each other.

Plus, encouragement of your English teacher and her husband, the Drama Director, will also be welcomed. :)

We can post stuff about meetups here, questions about how to punctuate dialogue, and basically just annoy each other to pieces (as if we didn't do that enough in class...).

Welcome Aboard!

well i think that nerd is a bit of a weak word, how about geek?? i think that fits the bill quite nicely of you ask me, i mean most people would start screaming if you mentioned that you were going to write 50,000 words in a month. "whatever i give up", the eternal cry of all Tonio rabaeys,(which is just one, in case you cant count)

Where's everyone else? I know the site is slow, but we gotta get y'all on board, here!

I'm at 2,049 words...I know some of you are further than that. :)

I'm planning NaNo meetups, at school (HS library), on Tuesday and Friday of this week. Both at 3:30. Bring laptops, notebooks, etc. Yay!

Hey, hey! How's everyone doing? I'm so glad four of you decided to show up for the meetup today, despite all four having been working hard in the Musical all day! Kudos to all of you!

And think how much more time you'll have to write after Saturday night?!? :D

I may be far behind, but I'm still determined to make that 50k mark by the 1st. I actually wrote nearly 2,000 words in about 45 minutes today at the Meetup. No lie!

It's awful writing, but I got the words!

Have a good weekend of writing, everyone, and see you at the Meetup on Monday after school!

The Thanksgiving Weekend just ruined my plans of finishing (not that I'm complaining--I had a good time with relatives). I have 27 hours to write 26,000 words. Probably not very likely...

But we'll continue on with VoV meetings (Vikings of Verbosity) a couple of times a month, I believe, because I'm still going to finish my novel. :)

Mr. Helmer's also saying that I should submit it. I think I will, just for kicks. Well, once I finish. And edit...

yea, i am wondering if i should copy and paste mine a couple of times (sadly it would have to be a couple) and then submit it, but then i would feel really bad, especially if they send you one of those e-mails that say "you did it, you put in all that effort, and you won" well that could be solved by deleting, but still...

yea, i think that we should continue the meetings, it would be nice for me to finish my book, even if it doesn't have a total of 50000 words, which would take a lot of time, even for me to finish this for Christmas. oh well i just hope that no one hit the writers block as hard as i did today, i barley got a thousand words, it took about three hours, and it was painful
