How many people here are going from genre-forum to genre-forum? I'm writing a suspense thriller, so I seem to spend a lot of time in mystery and suspense, and in horror and thriller, with just a wee bit in Romance, and Erotica, when my characters start thinking about doing something other than running for their lives.
If this is you, too, what genre would you say your novel actually fits into, and where are you going on the forums?

That's mine every year, but, unfortunately, this year I'm more of a romance than anything else.

This year my novel is mainly romance, but also one of the main themes is romance in religion, so I've been hanging out a lot in the religion forums as well.

My story is mostly historical fiction but it also has elements of:
Fantasy (the hero is a vampire)
Romance (Lots of romance between the characters)
Horror (there are some scene that verge upon horror. There's one in particular that pretty much disgusts me but since it's essential to the story it has to stay.)
there is a quite a bit of sexual content so I've popped into the Erotic forum for some tips
I generally tend to stay in the Historical fiction section though

I spent a while wobbling between Fantasy, Historical, and Adventure. I've mostly dropped 'historical' from that, as my story moves further and further from its initial Victorian roots, but I still hop around. I mean, it takes place on what would appear to be Earth, but there are cities on hydraulic platforms and steam-powered airships...no magic, no sentient non-human species, but plenty of bizarre science...
little bit of this, little bit of that.
And, I mean, there'll be suspense and romance and such, but I don't consider them the driving points of the plot.

I'm in Young Adult, Historical, and Romance. I think tha they're all very accurate and a big part of the story, so I'm bouncing between the three. =)
