This is kind of random, but I wanted to know if this has happened to anyone else. I recently joined a facebook group for my region, and a couple days later I got a message from one of my friends along the lines of "no way! I do NanoWriMo too!" she had no idea I write, and I had no idea she writes because even though we see each other fairly often when we're home from college, neither of us ever talk about it...it was just kind of a weird moment. Has anyone else had an experience like this?

I actually had an opposite experience that I found just as surprising. I'm a creative writing major and I have a close friend in many of my classes who is also a CW major. And I asked her if she was ready for November and she had no idea what I was talking about. She had never heard of nanowrimo! I was shocked. There are fliers up all over campus and I just figured everyone had heard of it these days.
It just struck me funny, but I got to send her the link and now we are gonna be writing buddies! It worked out great!
